Inside Boris Johnson’s huge net worth as he prepares to resign as Prime Minister
Throughout his time as Prime Minister, Boris has lived in a four bedroom flat above Number 11 Downing Street. While Number 10 Downing Street is typically associated with the role, previous leaders have opted to live at Number 11 due to it being larger in size. Due to this, Number 11 has undergone a series of renovations in the past, with former Prime Minister David Cameron giving members of the public a look inside while hosting the Obamas. As part of the occasion, Samantha Cameron could be seen talking to Michelle Obama in what appeared to be the open plan living and kitchen area.

Meanwhile, the kitchen area occupied one side of the room and featured a series of open shelves to house the family’s collection of pots and pans. The area boasted some trendy dark matte blue cabinets and white worktops, as well as a series of appliances including a large range oven. Since July 2019, Boris and Carrie have been busy further renovating the Grade I listed property.

While the family may call Number 11 their home, Boris, who is worth an estimated £1.67million, still spends much of his time at 10 Downing Street where he works in his private office. Behind the famous blak door is a grand reception hall which boasts an 18th-century black and white chequerboard floor and leads to the property’s main staircase. Many members of staff at Downing Street meet up within the building’s drawing room which features an extravagant fireplace surrounded by Union Jack flags.

A series of paintings can be found on the walls, and a large ornate rug covers the wooden flooring. Elsewhere, people became familiar with the property’s press briefing room which was used throughout the Covid-19 pandemic to provide regular updates. The room features wood-panelled walls as well as various red and blue patterned rugs. Away from Number 10, as Prime Minister, Boris is able to make use of Chequers Court which is his official country residence. The manor house dates to the 16th century and is located on 1,500 acres of land in the Buckinghamshire countryside.
