Even though I have cupboards full of beauty products, I still think there’s something super exciting about these calendars; these are the ones that elicited especially loud squeals of glee when I first found out about them… READ MORE: ‘L’Occitane’s 2024 advent calendar save you £60 and includes my favourite ever shower product’ READ MORE: ‘I saved over £850 on Charlotte Tilbury and Jo Loves thanks to Cult Beauty’s 2024 advent calendar’ OK! Top of the list has to be OK! Beauty Box’s very own advent calendar – and this year’s has been created with celebrity and royal make-up artist Hannah Martin. Hannah has selected 26 of her favourite tried-and-tested beauty products, including brands such as Ole Henriksen, Shiseido and Ciaté. This calendar not only gives you a greatest hits of Boots’ own brands in one box – including No7, Liz Earle and Soap & Glory – but it also gives back, with £2 from each sale going to Macmillan Cancer Support. LookFantastic Iconic Beauty Advent Calendar £100 from LookFantastic (worth over £565)

Worth more than five times its price
(Image: LookFantastic)

LookFantastic’s was the advent calendar I kept for myself last year, and I think I’ll be doing the same this year, too. One of the best multi-brand options in my opinion, it’s a real who’s who of viral products, including Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair and Sol de Janeiro perfume mist, as well as some more affordable brands such as The Ordinary and Glow Hub. It’s cheaper than most of its luxury beauty retailer competitors and worth over £565. Jo Malone London Advent Calendar £360 from Jo Malone London

Filled with fragrant treats
(Image: Jo Malone London)

This is the showstopper in Jo Malone’s Christmas collection and is as sought after as gold dust. Every beauty editor I know wants one of these – I’m crossing my fingers that this is my year. Expect to open up a mix of fragrance, body products and candles in some of the brand’s bestselling scents. I’m thrilled to see there’s a bottle of my favourite Myrrh & Tonka Cologne Intense in there. Elemis The Ultimate Skincare Advent Calendar £199 from Elemis (worth £537)

I’ve had a sneak peek instead the Elemis advent calendar
(Image: Laura Mulley)

It’s the one I give to my mum every year, and a failsafe gift for any partner, friend or mother-in-law, no matter their skin type. There’s something so inherently luxe about Elemis that it’s guaranteed to impress. It’ll sort out their skincare routine for months, too, with every step from cleanser to moisturiser in here, including a 50ml tub of the iconic Pro-Collagen Marine Cream, worth £95 on its own, plus some gorgeous body treats and a chance to find a golden ticket that wins you £1,000 worth of Elemis products. You can read my more detailed review of it here. Charlotte Tilbury Charlotte’s Beauty Treasure Chest of Love £170 from Charlotte Tilbury (worth £243)

Here’s our honest review of this year’s Charlotte Tilbury advent calendar
(Image: Laura Mulley)

This is high up on many a wish list and you don’t need to be a beauty obsessive to be wowed – this year the brand has knocked it out of the park. The heart-shaped box is one you’ll want to keep forever (complete with a secret compartment in the lid), and there are some absolute classics inside, including Pillow Talk lipstick and Charlotte’s Magic Cream. The 12 drawers are unnumbered, so it can be gifted outside of the festive period. I’ve been lucky enough to already get my hands on one, and here’s why I love it. Makeup Revolution Advent Calendar £48 from Revolution (worth £97)

A great lower priced option for make-up fans
(Image: Revolution)

Revolution’s make-up line has really impressed me this year, with many of its launches matching up to high-end alternatives. This glam-filled, 24-piece calendar is a great option under £50, or to gift to a younger make-up fan. Highlights inside include the Lip Oil, Beam Bright powder highlighter and teardrop-shaped Powder Puff, and it’s all worth over £97 in total. Rituals The Classic Advent Calendar £91.90 from Rituals (worth £166.90)

Are you a fan of the ‘little treats’ trend? This is the calendar for you. It’s filled with 24 fragrant pampering goodies that are sure to spark joy, in a box design inspired by Amsterdam’s canals. As a lover of scented candles, I was happy to see that there are four inside this box, to ensure your home smells incredible all the way through December. Sephora Favourites Advent Calendar £199 from Sephora (worth £1,000)

The Sephora advent calendar is back for 2024
(Image: Sephora)

Value compared to cost, this is one of the best I’ve seen this year. At just shy of £200 it’s not the cheapest but it’s worth a whopping £1,000, and you’ll find 40 products inside. The brands are some of the beauty world’s best too, such as Drunk Elephant, Tatcha and Makeup by Mario. My personal top picks include a NEOM candle, 111Skin sheet mask and Glossier You rollerball.
