The late singer, who tragically passed away at 31 after falling from his hotel room balcony in Argentina, is believed to have checked into The Priory in July for a 28-day programme. However, it’s said that the chart-topping star walked out just 48 hours later. Reports suggest that Liam’s decision to abandon his chance of “overcoming his addictions” deeply upset his loved ones. Liam had previously been candid about his struggles and even confided in TV personality Paddy McGuinness about his journey towards sobriety. Despite his desire to get his life back on track, new reports indicate he found it challenging, reports the Mirror. It’s alleged that the Teardrops singer had enrolled in the £5,000-a-night The Priory in London and had begun a detox programme.

However, insiders claim that Liam barely left his room and didn’t participate in group sessions with other patients. It’s thought that Liam used prescription medication provided by medical professionals to help him withdraw from alcohol and substances. A source told The Sun: “Family and management did everything they could, Liam was loved, adored and incredibly talented.” They added that despite everyone “rooting for him” he “couldn’t beat his demons”. “He confronted his issues head-on, hoping to get back on track,” they concluded. The entertainment world is reeling from the tragic news that Liam, the beloved music icon, has died. Reports emerged on Wednesday that police were summoned to a hotel due to a “man acting aggressively at the hotel who could be under the effect of drink or drugs”. It’s understood that Liam suffered a fatal fall from a height of approximately 13 or 14 metres, sustaining “very serious injuries incompatible with life.” The scene in his hotel room was described as being “in complete disarray” with “various items broken”. A whiskey bottle, lighter and mobile phone were found in the internal hotel courtyard where Liam’s body was discovered. Since the heartbreaking announcement, an outpouring of tributes has come from friends and family. Liam’s mother, Karen, expressed her profound grief, telling a hairdresser: “I’ve lost my beautiful boy.”

In another poignant reaction, Liam’s brother-in-law, Nick Farnell, conveyed the family’s deep shock at the untimely passing of the One Direction star at just 31 years old, saying: “We’re obviously devastated at the news.” Simon Cowell, Liam’s former manager, also shared his sorrow. In a social media post that has since been removed, Simon wrote: “You never really know how you feel about someone until a moment like this happens. Liam, I am devastated. Heartbroken. And I feel empty. And I want you to know how much love and respect I have for you. Every tear I have shed is a memory of you.” “This is so difficult to put into words right now. I went outside today, and I thought about so many times we had together. I wanted to let you know what I would always say to the thousands of people who would always ask me. What is Liam like? And I would tell them you were kind, funny, sweet, thoughtful, talented, humble, focused. And how much you loved music. And how much love you genuinely had for the fans.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
