Fans flooded the comments section with their heartfelt sympathies, with one sharing, “You were one of the first people I thought of. I’m so sorry,” while another wrote, “I’m so sorry for your loss will never forget your goofy videos you made together and streamed live in hotel rooms.” The tributes kept coming as a user said, “I am so sorry for you loss, Andy. We love him soo much.”

Recalling a harrowing 2013 incident when Andy sustained burns during a fire at Liam’s plush Canary Wharf flat; he has expressed that Liam’s decisive actions likely saved his life. That fateful get-together saw incidents escalate when Andy attempted to refill the gas patio heater which quickly led to disaster, reports the Mirror. Reflecting on the blaze, Andy confided in the Mirror about how Liam courageously fought the inferno. Then 21, Andy had to endure a hospital stay, multiple skin grafts, and treatment for severe burns. He continued that he believes the singer’s swift and brave response saved his life. Andy, then just 21, was rushed to the hospital after being engulfed in flames during the attempt to fuel up a patio heater with gas. His recovery involved a two-week hospitalisation and seven skin grafts while undergoing treatment for third-degree burns.

“I can still see Liam trying to put out the flames with his hands,” Andy recounted the horrifying incident. “I was set completely on fire terror is the only word fit to describe what I was feeling. The pain and the panic I felt is something no one should have to go through. I was the one that was injured, but it was a crazy, horrible experience for Liam to witness as well.” As they anxiously awaited the arrival of emergency services, both Liam and his then-girlfriend Sophie Smith were instrumental in keeping Andy grounded amidst the chaos. Reflecting on their support, Andy saodd: “The best thing Liam and Sophia did that night for me was just reassure me and try to keep me calm until the ambulance arrived. I was in such a panic. I was also worried I’d burned the building down and they kept talking to me to keep me conscious.” Liam’s support didn’t stop there; sweetly, he lifted Andy’s spirits while at the hospital and even brought him a McDonald’s when he craved the meal during his recovery.
