Taking to Instagram, the TV comedian posted a heartfelt screenshot of their conversation. Alongside the image, Paddy penned: “I really enjoyed the small amount of time I got to hang out with Liam. His messages were always open and honest.” Reflecting on Liam’s struggle with fame, Paddy added: “I could never comprehend that level of fame and attention? Let alone the effect it has on someone so young? Rest in peace young un.” In the poignant screenshot, Liam reached out to Paddy saying: “Course mate. I don’t have many mates I can trust who know how I feel and since being sober I’m wanting to branch out more instead of hiding away.”

The heart-rending post comes in the wake of the tragic news that emerged on Wednesday evening; Liam suffered a fatal fall from a third-story balcony in Argentina. The beloved singer met with the sad fate after falling from the balcony at Buenos Aires’ Casa Sur Hotel, leading to his untimely death. Following the tragedy, Argentine authorities have released information following Liam’s death, with reports indicating that the star had “jumped from the balcony” of his hotel room, resulting in his demise. This tragic incident occurred while he was vacationing in Buenos Aires, attending a concert by Niall Horan, his One Direction bandmate. Forensic experts stated that “the 25 injuries described in the autopsy are compatible with those caused by a fall from a height.” In addition, they clarified that Liam had no “defensive type” injuries and described the wounds on his body as “vital and produced at the same time as each other” leading to the conclusion that “the intervention of third parties would be ruled out,” as reported by the Argentinian publication La Nacion.

Alberto Crescenti, in charge of Buenos Aires emergency medical services, revealed the tragic immediacy of Liam’s passing. He relayed: “Our role was to head there quickly, give medical attention, and try to resuscitate him, but his injuries were incompatible with life. Based on what the team saw, there was apparently a cranial fracture and extremely serious injuries that led to his immediate death.” In wake of the devastating news, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and Zayn Malik issued a heart-rending statement. They expressed: “We’re completely devastated by the news of Liam’s passing. In time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say. But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly. The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever. For now, our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and the fans who loved him alongside us. We will miss him terribly.
