Spurlock, the acclaimed director and star of the documentary film Super Size Me, which chronicled his experiment eating only McDonald’s, passed away at the age of 53 earlier this year. He had posed with the band at one of their events promoting This Is Us, which he directed. Liam wrote simply: “Rest in peace Morgan Spurlock it was a pleasure working with you.” Reports are emerging around Liam untimely death this evening. It has been said emergency services, including police, firefighters and ambulances, were seen outside the hotel where he is said to have fallen from. It’s been reported that police were initially called to the scene due to reports of a man behaving aggressively. It is believed that former X Factor star Liam fell from a height of around 13 or 14 metres, resulting in what was termed “very serious injuries incompatible with life.” It was also claimed that a body was discovered in the internal courtyard of a hotel, leading to the police being called by the hotel manager. A local ambulance chief’s account is quoted as saying: “At 17.04 through the 911 integrated public safety system, we were alerted of a person who was in an internal courtyard of the management of a south house hotel. “At 17.11 a SAME team arrived and verified the death of this man and later we found out that he was a singer in a musical group. Unfortunately, he had injuries that were incompatible with life, as a result of his fall, so we had to confirm his death, there was no possibility of resuscitation.” Stars of the music world and beyond have tonight been paying their respects. Miley Cyrus wrote simply: “Rest in peace liam payne.” while Jeward, who like Liam were stars thanks to Simon Cowell’s The X Factor, said: “Sending strength to Cheryl and his son Bear and all the One direction Family RIP.” Jaymi Hensley-Marmon from the band Union J, whose fiance also died falling from a hotel, said: “This tragic news about Liam Payne is hitting far too close to home sharing how similar circumstances are RIP. 2024 can get f***ed.”
