The 11 year old faced criticism last year as viewers claimed it was a case of nepotism and that another child should have had the chance. But as North shone during her stage debut, she was supported by her proud parents Kim and Kanye, along with the entire Kardashian bunch who celebrated her performance. Kim, reflecting on the moment in her confessional, couldn’t help but boast: “She’s so proud of herself, she did such a great job.” She even had a sassy comeback for critics, dishing out a Mariah Carey quip: “Anyone that is hating on a kid is just like, ‘I hate her’, she’s not there to be Mariah Carey.”

As North steps into the limelight, Kim embraces the ‘Momager’ title, once held by her own mother, Kris Jenner, who steered the careers of her siblings Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall, Kylie, and Rob to stardom, reports the Mirror. Kris Jenner dropped a cheeky comment in front of the cameras, reflecting on her iconic role as a ‘momager’: “I think Kim has been the most amazing momager, I think as the kids get older and this continues and evolves, everyone is going to see maybe how much work I put in to these kids in my day, it isn’t as easy as it looks.” Earning a sweet deal, Kris scooped up a 10% share from all her children’s varied business ventures as she guided them.

Kim couldn’t help but throw a bit of shade at her mum’s commission, suggesting it might be time for a change. She quipped: “It’s just so interesting that she seems so interested in our careers, she’s still getting her 10% cause that’s what they do. “But she actually shouldn’t, I might think about this. Now that she’s her own star in her own right and she’s focusing on her own career, I don’t really know what she’s managing these days.” While Kris Jenner still works with her family, she’s somewhat stepped away to focus on her own star power, yet she never misses a beat in hyping up her brood on social media.
