More infoJoin us on WhatsApp Katie Price and her sister Sophie delved deep into the topic of ageing on the latest episode of The Katie Price Show podcast. Swapping tales about getting on in years, Katie, the ex-glamour queen at 46, went in on the members of 5ive – and how much the lads have, according to her, visibly aged. Katie also brought up the recent Boyzone documentary, telling her sister that she reckons all the boys now look their years — and expressing amazement that she’s actually clocking the same age as them. Giving herself a mental slap with “catch herself on”, she revealed she’s facing menopause and said: “I still don’t feel like I’m old. But I know I am because even my body inside is going through the menopause so I know I’m not a young spring chicken.” And her honesty didn’t stop there, with the model saying: “It doesn’t matter how young I think I look, what tracksuit I put on and whatever, my body is old. It’s scary isn’t it. Inside my body is ageing, but the outside is fresh.” Sophie clearly couldn’t resist a little dig – teasing: “The outside has had many updates,” with Katie agreeing: “A lot.”

Katie’s chat follows the devastating news of her recent miscarriage. Speaking in late February, the mum-of-five, who has been open about her desire to have more children, revealed she had fallen pregnant around Christmas with her boyfriend, former Married At First Sight UK star, JJ Slater, reports the Mirror. Tragically, scans revealed that they had lost their baby, leaving them heartbroken. She bravely shared at the time: “I was just really sad because we went from joy and relief that I could get pregnant naturally, to confusion, heartbreak and sadness.” She clarified that she and JJ weren’t actively trying for a baby as she was told she was perimenopausal. However, Katie noticed she missed a period on Boxing Day, and began experiencing symptoms such as tender breasts, nausea, mood swings, and bloating. She said she took “lots of pregnancy tests” due to her boyfriend’s excitement. She told The Sun: “We went to a clinic for blood tests and a scan and the scan showed where the baby was, but that it wasn’t alive any more. It’s been devastating.” The model has previously endured three miscarriages and a heart-breaking ectopic pregnancy. She’s been open about her struggles, sharing her unsuccessful IVF journey earlier this year in a documentary called Katie Price: Making Babies, alongside her then-fiancé Carl Woods.
