Privacy Notice The Princess of Wales has stepped out for the first time since she provided her courageous cancer update and revealed the end of her chemotherapy journey. The 42-year-old made a heartfelt appearance on Sunday, 22 September with Prince William, King Charles, and Queen Camilla as they rode in a car to Crathie Kirk Church in Balmoral for a service. In the new photos, the mother of three donned a chic khaki hat for the occasion while riding shotgun in the car with her husband and future King. The Princess looked well and relaxed as she rode beside William, who has been showcasing his new look with a full beard that has sent royal fans into a frenzy.

It comes after Kate opened up about her “scary” and “incredibly tough” nine-month battle with cancer since the diagnosis in a heartrending video earlier this month. She delighted everyone as she confirmed she had finished chemotherapy and would slowly be returning to royal duties with a gentle programme of engagements, reports the Mirror. The poignant video didn’t just share her story; it also showcased a playful Princess, engaging in simple joys like jumping on hay bales and card games with her little ones in Norfolk, all while extending a supportive hand to anyone else navigating their cancer fight. Kate expressed her profound relief at completing chemotherapy and facing her vulnerabilities head-on. She shared: “As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment. “The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.

“The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you. With humility, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything. “This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved.” On Tuesday this week, Kate was joined by her household team and staff from the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, the organisation she established to promote the issue and conduct research, for a meeting at Windsor Castle. It is only the third time she has been mentioned in the official record of royal engagements since her health scare began at the start of the year. The Court Circular stated: “The Princess of Wales, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, this afternoon held an Early Years Meeting at Windsor Castle.” The meeting is likely to have discussed the princess’ ambitious Shaping Us campaign, launched last year by the centre with the aim of raising the profile of the formative years of a child’s life.

Despite undergoing treatment, the Princess was still busy behind the scenes, meeting with her team and representatives from the centre, although these meetings were not officially documented. She made an appearance at the King’s birthday parade, also known as Trooping the Colour, in June. In July, she had the honour of presenting the men’s Wimbledon final trophy to Carlos Alcaraz, with both events making it into the Court Circular. The Prince of Wales also got a mention in Tuesday’s official record after he paid a visit to the 22 Special Air Service Regiment in Credenhill, Herefordshire.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
