Privacy NoticeKate Garraway made a welcome return to Good Morning Britain on Monday morning (5 August), joining co-host Ed Balls. It comes after the 57-year-old presenter had caused worry among viewers due to her prolonged absence from the popular ITV show. On Friday (2 August), GMB was hosted by Rob Rinder and Charlotte Hawkins, following Ranvir Singh and Ed filling in for most of the week. However, Kate, who had been absent since last month due to her father’s ill health, returned to the show on Monday, much to the delight of fans. Kate had previously announced her return to the show on Monday last week in an honest Instagram post, reports the Mirror. The presenter wrote: “Hi all – sorry I disappeared from here when my Dad collapsed and rushed to hospital 2 weeks ago while having a holiday with my Mum at my brother’s . It was very scary but am so pleased that he is now stable and even recovering a bit in hospital – we have so much to be grateful for, but are taking it a day at a time.
