The comedian was a guest on tonight’s episode of the BBC show, where he chatted with hosts Alex Jones and Vernon Kay about his new comedy series, Last One Laughing. During the interview, Vernon inquired about Jimmy’s upcoming arena tour, Laughs Funny, which is set to start next month. “You’re busy on tour, Jimmy,” Vernon initiated, to which Jimmy responded: “I’m always on tour, constantly. Playing the arenas just to big up my ego at the end of the year.”

The conversation soon shifted to the topic of hecklers, with Jimmy commenting on Peter Kay’s recent experience of ejecting two audience members from his live tour at the AO Arena in Manchester last month, reports the Mirror. The star was in the midst of performing his Better Late Than Never (Again) tour when a man in the audience began repeatedly shouting “garlic bread” at him – one of Peter’s well-known catchphrases. Another woman then started proclaiming her “love” for Peter, causing further disruption to the show. The comedian was not amused by the interruptions and asked the audience if the two hecklers were starting to annoy them. After receiving a unanimous response from the irritated crowd, security promptly escorted the disruptive duo out.

Peter has since threatened to eject more fans from his show at London’s O2 Arena last week, after noticing that some disruptive audience members seated in a box were distracting the crowds around them. On The One Show, Jimmy took a swipe at his fellow comedian, saying he’s not like him and doesn’t care about ejecting audience members from his shows. Vernon said to Jimmy: “I’m loving the fact that your heckles have gone viral on your socials. You put out the heckles and you do put out the interaction with the audience.” Earning laughs from the hosts, Jimmy quipped back: “I quite like that. I like it when people join in. Sometimes it gets out of hand and we have to kick people out of the show, but I’m not like Peter Kay, I don’t care.” He added: “I don’t care, we’ve got great security. I’m all mouth.” The One Show airs weekdays at 7pm on BBC One
