Beloved telly icon Jane McDonald is bursting with excitement as she unveils her latest career move. After bidding farewell to her hit Channel 5 series Cruising in 2020, 61 year old just dropped news of a new series slated for a 2026 debut. Taking to X, once known as Twitter, Jane penned: “I’m thrilled to share that I’m teaming up with JetSetTV for their first project! Find out more on my website.” Over on her official site, Jane wrote: “This marks the start of a new chapter in my eight-year collaboration with Executive Producer Mark Powell. The upcoming series will be produced by Kieron Collins and Mark Powell through their company JetSetTV and will hit your screens in January 2026.”

This is an amazing project and we can’t wait to give you all the behind-the-scenes scoop on the production soon. But for now, it’s time to pack our bags and get ready for an exciting filming adventure!” Fans didn’t waste a moment to express their joy, with one writing: “Looking forward to seeing this.” Another shared their anticipation: “Looking forward to seeing this Jane. Safe travels,” as a third wrote: “Can’t wait! My mum and I LOVE watching Jane McDonald whenever she’s on! ! ! We used to sit down religiously every Friday night for cruising without fail.” Another gushed: “Brilliant absolutely brilliant. Looking forward to seeing and hearing from you about all of these New travel adventures. Jane McDonald you are Just a breath of fresh air.”

Jane waved goodbye to her gig as the host of Channel 5’s Cruising with Jane McDonald in February 2020, choosing to concentrate on her music career and other projects. Over her four-and-a-half-year stint, she presented eight series, covering an impressive 38 cruises and earning herself the title of “Queen of Cruise”. Jane’s TV career spans over two decades, kicking off in 1998 when she first graced our screens in the BBC One docu-soap The Cruise. The 12-episode series pulled in a whopping 13 million viewers, catapulting Jane to instant fame and making her a household name. Jane was a staple on ITV’s daytime show Loose Women for more than ten years, but decided to say her goodbyes to the programme in 2014. Despite stepping back from a regular role, she has popped up as a guest on numerous occasions.
