Privacy NoticeJamie Laing, former Made In Chelsea star, took to Instagram to share a heartfelt birthday tribute to his wife Sophie Habboo as she turned 30 on Saturday. The 35 year old TV personality couldn’t help but gush over his beloved wife, praising her for being an inspiration. Jamie posted a beautiful black and white photo of the couple sharing a warm hug. The pair tied the knot in April last year with two ceremonies – one in London and another in Spain three weeks later. In his touching message, Jamie wrote: “Happy Birthday Sophie…. 30 years old today!” “There are all the obvious reasons why I love you, smart, funny, witty, strong, put up with me, the obvious. However there are many things people don’t know about you. For example; you’re an amazing swimmer particularly breaststroke, you have the most incredible palate and can cook the most delicious food! You can fall asleep in any situation as long as you have an eye mask. You understand more about nutrition than most experts I’m sure of it. You pretend to not like my silly jokes but secretly do and you love nothing more than being with Family.”

“You think about how others would feel before really thinking about yourself and you have the strongest will power out of anyone I know. Sophie, you inspire me a huge amount for reasons that we know and for some reasons maybe you even don’t.” He continued: “You’re cooler, funnier and definitely hotter than me in every way! Happiest of Birthday’s! You deserve all the amazing things coming your way! J xx.” Their celebrity pals were to comment on the post, sending their best birthday wishes Emma Louise Connolly’s hubby Ollie Proudlock also chimed in: “’BD @sophiehabboo! You are glorious, and thank you for making my homie the happiest I’ve ever seen him.” I’m A Celeb star Georgia Toffolo added: “Ahhhh I’m 30 next week too! Happy bday xx.”

It comes after Sophie spilled the beans on Jamie’s bedroom habits that she can’t stand. On their latest NewlyWeds podcast episode, Sophie, who became Mrs. Laing last year, couldn’t help but reveal Jamie’s quirky aversion to bed linen. “You won’t let me put any sheets on our duvet. You won’t let me, so I have to sleep with the mouldy duvet that’s had all of our sweat on it for months and months because you hate the feeling of a sheet,” she said. Jamie then asked if there was anything else he could possibly improve on. Sophie didn’t hold back, bringing up his bathroom etiquette or lack thereof at friends’ homes. “When you go to people’s houses, like our friend’s house, and you don’t… tend to the loo,” she said.

Jamie, clearly taken aback, responded, “You’re saying I leave s**t in the loo?” to which Sophie confirmed: “You leave skid marks.” “That’s a lie!” protested Jamie, but Sophie wasn’t finished. She teased out another cringe-worthy tale for their listeners. “My friend let us stay in her wonderful house in Spain, she comes in just to tell us where the towels are and stuff, and I look in the corner of my eye and see what Jamie’s doing on her bed. I was like, ‘please don’t look’, so I was trying to distract her,” she recounted. Sophie couldn’t hide her dismay as she recounted Jamie’s questionable habits: “Because you were sat cross legged picking your toenail on her bed,” but Jamie was unfazed, insisting it was typical behaviour. “I think a lot of people can relate to that,” he claimed with a grin, while his unimpressed wife retorted: “That’s so not okay!”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
