He launched the show with a heads-up about upcoming water bill increases in April, then encouraged everyone to check if they could snag a better deal on their broadband. The savvy money guru highlighted that it was the final call for individuals to redeem missed National Insurance contributions from between 2006 and 2016. He followed this up by guiding audiences through the best cash ISA options and clarifying the initial savings rate.

Yet, as Martin crammed a wealth of information into an hour-long slot, some found the rapid-fire delivery overwhelming, reports the Express. Disgruntled viewers took to Twitter to voice their concerns, with remarks ranging from appeals for a more leisurely pace to downright exasperation at trying to digest the fast-flowing advice. One viewer commented: “Please can the show be on for longer and get Martin to slow down! Causes me anxiety watching it.”

Another wrote: “I wish Martin would talk more slowly….” One person added: “I can’t watch this anymore.. I’m going to go and stare at the wall.. my god does he even come up for air!!!!” Someone else simply said: “I don’t know how anybody follows all this.” Despite some backlash, other viewers were quick to flock to social media to heap praises on Martin for his incredibly useful money-saving tips. One person said: “Brilliant show as usual! Thank you so much for making money matters so much easier to understand and less scary!”

Another devoted viewer exclaimed: “What would we do without you!!!” While a third added a heartfelt: “Thank you for sharing much appreciated.” As the show neared its end, Martin addressed the speed of his presentation, apologising to his audience, but explained he was eager to cram in as much advice as possible. “Sorry about going so fast but there’s so many things I want to tell you before the series ends,” he assured fans. It was indeed the season’s wrap-up, with Martin assuring fans that he’d be back in May and again for the full series come October. Sharing a clip of the studio being taken down, the caption said: “We’re packing away the studio for our spring break… but we won’t be gone for long!
