Chatting with hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, they dished about the latest series of Beat the Chasers, which has been gripping ITV audiences since its return this month. In a candid reveal, the dynamic duo shared what it’s like when all six chasers are crammed into one room. “It’s quite a dangerous thing to put all six of us together – the egos and all the brain power. The competitive warm-up quizzing that goes on in the dressing room is something to behold,” Jenny confessed.

Before she became the fierce Vixen, Jenny was crafting those tricky questions behind the scenes and It was Anne who nudged her into the spotlight?, reports the Mirror. Cat asked: “Jenny, you were originally working behind the camera on the show first of all, and Anne, were you something to do with how Jenny became a chaser?” To which Jenny responded with the lowdown on her early days: “The pilot run, there was just two question setters. “They were obviously just trying it out and hopefully, it would go on. In fact, the other person writing the questions is now an Egghead, so it’s very strange how it comes round.”

She continued: “So, I wrote those questions and set the show off on the road to success, and Anne joined down the road. I was quizzing alongside Anne and she had a little recommendation for me.” Anne revealed that after joining Jenny’s quiz team in Bolton and bonding over their shared love for trivia, she played a pivotal role in Jenny’s TV break. She said: “I knew that they were looking for a new female chaser, and I was sort of thinking my way round the quizzing circuit, and thought, ‘Well, the obvious candidate is really going to be Jenny’.” The thrilling quiz show Beat the Chasers made its comeback on ITV1 last Thursday (January 17), bringing back the high-stakes challenge where contestants face off against all six chasers – The Governess, The Vixen, The Dark Destroyer, The Sinnerman, The Beast, and The Menace – for a chance to win a substantial cash prize. In this intense spin-off, hopefuls must answer a series of multiple-choice questions correctly before engaging in a heart-stopping race against time. This Morning airs weekdays on ITV at 10am and The Chase airs weekdays on ITV1 at 5pm
