Privacy NoticeThe four-part drama, Platform 7, based on Louise Doughty’s novel of the same name, premieres on ITV tonight (Monday 26 August). The series tells the story of Lisa, a ghost stuck on the station platform where she died, unable to move on to the afterlife. Lisa has no memory of her death until she witnesses a tragic event on the same platform, which sparks the return of her memories in fragments. A transport police officer becomes invested in her case, and Lisa gets closer to uncovering the truth about her fate. The series initially aired on ITVX on December 7. Although it received mixed reviews initially, there’s hope it will attract a new audience on linear TV. Here’s everything you need to know about the cast…

Lisa Evans – Jasmine Jobson Lisa Evans is played by Jasmine Jobson, a 29 year old British actress known for her role as Jaq in the series Top Boy. She has also appeared in the film Surge and the second season of Noughts and Crosses. Speaking to pressparty.com about her character, she said: “Without giving away too much, Lisa is a ghost, trapped at a station. “She’s very strong-minded and strong-willed and she witnesses a devastating incident that jogs her fractured memory. “Along her journey, she finds similarities to something that she’s experienced herself, which in turn gives her a lot of power, which is very exciting.”

Akash Lockhart – Yaamin Chowdhury Akash Lockhart is portrayed by Yaamin Chowdhury, known for his roles in The Lazarus Project and The Essex Serpent. He also had a brief appearance as Rory in an episode of Ghosts. Melissa – Sacha Parkinson Melissa is played by 32 year old English actress Sacha Parkinson, who is famous for her role as Sian Powers in Coronation Street. She has also been recognised for her main roles in The Driver and Mr Selfridge.

Richard Shale – Reece Ritchie Richard Shale is brought to life by Reece Ritchie, a 38 year old English actor primarily known for his film roles. He starred in 10,000 BC and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, as well as Hercules. His TV role in White Heat may also be familiar to viewers. Matthew Goodson – Toby Regbo Matthew Goodson is played by Toby Regbo, a 32 year old English actor with experience on stage, screen and film. He is known for his roles in Mr Nobody, The Last Kingdom and Reign. He was set to be part of the cast of the upcoming Game of Thrones prequel Bloodmoon, but the pilot did not get picked up.

Rosaria Diaz – Tabata Cerezo Rosaria Diaz is played by Spanish actress Tabata Cerezo, best known for The Mallorca Files. She also previously starred in The Night Manager and Finding Altamira. Izzy – Rhiannon Clements Izzy is portrayed by Rhiannon Clements, a 29 year old English actor best known for her theatre roles. From 2020 to 2021, she portrayed Summer Ranger in the Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks. On stage, she’s dazzled in productions like The Tempest, Alice in Wonderland, and Wuthering Heights. Evelyn Evans – Natasha Joseph Evelyn Evans fabulously brought to life by Natasha Joseph. All eyes on Evelyn Evans, a character emblematically portrayed by the gifted Natasha Joseph. She’s had two appearances in Emmerdale, the first as mesmerised social worker Linda McIntyre back in February 2017. Natasha returned with a bang, and later embraced the role of oncologist Celia Dunham from May to July 2022. Beyond Emmerdale, Natasha has captivated audiences in One Day, Fool Me Once, Sex Education, and Grace.

Trevor Evans – Patrick Robinson Handsome Trevor Evans springs into action thanks to Patrick Robinson, age 60, whose iconic turn as Martin “Ash” Ashford in Casualty has left an indelible mark. Patrick hasn’t just saved lives on screen; he’s spread his wings as Father Benedict in The Last Kingdom’s season five and had us chuckling with his role in BBCs comedy series Outlaws. Ella – Emily Carey Rising sensation Emily Carey, at the tender age of 21, steps into the role of Ella with aplomb. Kicking off their career on stage, they quickly soared to TV fame in Casualty, eventually making a splash in Hollywood blockbusters like Wonder Woman and Tomb Raider and enchanting audiences as Alicent Hightower in the hotly anticipated House of the Dragon.

Dalmar – Beru Tessema Beru Tessema, a supremely talented Ethiopian-British writer-director and a RADA alumnus, adds depth to the intriguing character of Dalmar. Layla – Cleo Sylvestr The character of Layla is played by the highly respected English actress Cleo Sylvestre, also known as Cleopatra Mary Palmer. Her memorable performances have added a touch of nostalgia to the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow, with precious mementos from her early career.
