Privacy NoticeCoronation Street enthusiasts are convinced they’ve cracked the mystery of Dorin’s real dad – and it’s not Tyrone or anyone else on the cobbles. Speculation has been rife among Coronation Street fans about who is the father of Alina Pop’s (played by Ruxandra Porojnicu) baby, despite confirmation that Dorin is the product of her fling with Weatherfield regular Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall). In Friday’s episode (August 23), aired on ITV, Alina wasn’t spared from the speculation as many viewers continue to question if the popular mechanic is truly Dorin’s dad. However, amid the flurry of comments on Twitter, a fresh theory has emerged suggesting that Alina may have had Dorin with another man during her time away from Corrie. Even more shockingly, Dorin’s dad could be one of her former traffickers.

One viewer questioned: “How does Tyrone know that Dorin is even his child without a DNA test? Alina could just be saying what Tyrone wants to hear. It has been three years since she was last on the street.” Another added: “Alina is going to die, then Tyrone will take Dorin in and then he will find out that he’s not his but Sebs and it will be Jack all over again.” This led to a third fan chiming in: “Bet Dorrin isn’t Ty’s; bet he’s one of the traffickers’.” Previously, Tyrone Dobbs, Seb Franklin and Adam Barlow were considered potential fathers for Dorin due to Alina’s history with them. Actress Ruxandra Porojnicu made a comeback to the ITV drama after three years, reprising her role as Alina Pop. Her character had previously been involved in a love affair with Tyrone Dobbs, leading him to break up with his then-girlfriend, now-wife, Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine).

Fans have come up with their own theories about who Dorin’s father is

Alina’s life took a dramatic turn during her time away from Weatherfield. She unexpectedly ran into Fiz at Freshco’s car park and revealed that she’d been summoned back to town as a witness for a trial. It was later unveiled that she’d also become a mother to Tyrone’s child. However, after receiving cryptic calls from an unidentified individual, it became evident that Alina was hiding more than she initially let on. The episode aired this Friday (23 August) hinted at potential danger ahead, leading fans to speculate that her character might be written out of the show.

Alina and Fiz have never gotten along

Trapped in her hotel room by an unknown thug, Alina was rescued just in the nick of time by Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan), who was there for some plumbing work. Visibly shaken and while Ronnie probed her about her attacker, Alina decided her safest option was to flee, leaving her son Dorin in Tyrone’s care.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
