Elen is a 40 year old actress hailing from Aberystwyth, Wales. She began her career in 2007 after studying Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and has starred in a number of TV shows and films. In July 2018, she welcomed her first child with partner Benjamin Wiles, who is a firefighter. Elen announced the arrival of the couple’s son on Instagram in a sweet post. “Wilfred Rhys Wiles. Born Sunday 1st July at 11pm,” she wrote. “Completely caught us off guard, arriving seven weeks early (with us hundreds of miles apart) but cool as an absolute cucumber. Little Wilf saw his last chance to be born a Welshman and absolutely went for it. He’s LUSH.” Elen’s Instagram appears to show she and Benjamin had been together for many years before welcoming their first child. It’s unclear if the couple have married. Elen tends to keep her private life out of the spotlight, but occasionally shares snaps of adorable young son Wilf. It’s unknown if she and Benjamin are still item, as neither has shared photos of them together for a few years.

Elen returned to TV screens as Detective Miranda Blake on 8 August, with the third series of The Mallorca Files landing on Amazon. The show has proven popular with viewers. The first two series aired on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. The official synopisis for The Mallorca Files reads: “Miranda Blake, a Welsh Detective Constable with London’s Metropolitan Police, and Max Winter, a German detective, are teamed up by Inés Villegas, the Chief of Palma Police, to solve crimes, generally ones committed against the international community, on the island of Mallorca.
