Privacy NoticeCoronation Street star Adam Little may be best know for playing evil Blake Myers in the long running soap – but his career has spanned even more than just the well known baddie, including a surprising side hustle. Now Adam, 21, can be seen starring in period drama The Hardacres, which starts tonight on Channel 5. Described as a cross between Poldark and Downton Abbey, the rags to riches drama centres around an 1890s working class Yorkshire family which moves to a wealthy country estate, with Adam starring as Joe Hardacre. Adam took to social media to share a picture of the new six part drama, captioning it: “Can’t wait for you to meet the fam!” He’d previously given fans a sneak peak of the drama with some behind the scenes snaps, writing: ”What a blast it’s been shooting this! Had the blessing of working with amazing people everyday and creating something we’re all very proud of!”

It comes after the actor left Corrie last year. In the soap, he played the villainous Blake, who bullied Max Turner, before being central to the shocking far right storyline, which saw the crazed character stab Alya Nazir and be convicted of the attempted murder of Maria Connor. On leaving the soap, which he starred in from 2022 to 2023, Adam took to Instagram to thank fans for their support: “Thank you to @coronationstreet for the opportunity to be a part of this storyline and play crazy man blake!”. He added: “It’s been a blast working with such a friendly cast and crew who have made me so welcome. Thank you to all the viewers who have supported and sent me lovely messages it’s really appreciated!”

Outside of Corrie, Adam starred in the fifth and final season of Channel 4 school drama Ackley Bridge as troubled student Kyle Dobson, the violent half brother of Marina Dobson, with the character joining the school from a juvenile detention centre. Viewers will also recognise Adam from BBC One drama Years and Years, alongside Emma Thompson, having landed the part at just 15 years old. But, Adam’s not just a talented actor – the Hardacres star also has a surprising other career he balances with being a famous face on the small screen.
