More infoJoin us on WhatsApp Danny Jones’ wife, Georgia, has reportedly packed up and left their shared home after a belated apology from the McFly singer regarding his cheeky snog with Love Island star Maura Higgins. The 39 year old was snapped getting cosy with his I’m A Celeb co-star Maura, 34, at the BRITs bash this month. The smooch has left his 11-year marriage to former Miss England model Georgia, 38, with whom he shares seven-year-old son Cooper, fractured. As the clip of the kiss went viral, Danny declined to comment before finally issuing a public apology, revealing he had been taking time to try and resolve the situation with his family, reports the Mirror.

The “humiliated” star admitted: “I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation. I love them so much and we’ll continue to deal with this privately. I love you guys, thank you for your patience, understanding, and support.” It’s another wave of woe for Georgia, who faced a challenging few weeks at the end of last year when she single-handedly parented their son and took on the stressful task of moving house while Danny was busy tackling Bushtucker trails in the I’m A Celeb jungle. After his big win on the show, Georgia revealed that they were worlds apart—him buzzing from Down Under thrills while she felt utterly “a broken woman.”
The space has been recently renovated with a modern finish
During a chat on the Mum’s The Word podcast with Kelsey Parker last year, Georgia revealed: “He’d gone through a real mindful experience. He came out to a wife who couldn’t have been further from that. The two worlds didn’t quite match with one another because I was so happy for him but then an exhausted, broken woman. I was on a very different page to him.” Georgia also took to Instagram to share her emotional state while Danny was away on I’m A Celeb. In a candid video, she explained her social media hiatus and mentioned that she had been preoccupied with moving house. As she started to well up, she confessed: “We have moved house whilst Danny is in the jungle, and I have done it on my own, and I am a broken woman, to say the least.” Georgia regularly posts snippets of their plush new abode on Instagram, giving fans an insight into life with the Joneses.

Their London period property has undergone a top-notch renovation, boasting a contemporary finish throughout. The large windows, sky lights and French doors flood the rooms with light, while stylish window shutters offer the celebrity couple some privacy. The couple have chosen a neutral colour scheme, with hues of grey and beige adorning the walls. In their living room, they unwind in front of the telly on a plush taupe sofa. Georgia has injected a splash of colour with a cream rug featuring a turquoise check pattern.

Georgia and Danny certainly know how to throw a party, especially when it comes to celebrating their son Cooper’s big day. In January, they transformed their spacious garden into a kiddie wonderland for Cooper’s seventh birthday bash. The doting parents went all out with a bouncy castle and an inflatable obstacle course, ensuring the little ones had a blast.

Moving house can be tough, and Georgia confessed that leaving their old home wasn’t easy, but she did it for their son. “I actually didn’t want to move from the house we lived in. I loved it there, but we do it for the kids, right? Anyway, I’m very, very emotional. I’ve had an emotional evening. It’s just a lot. But also let’s talk about the jungle, not just me and my house move without my jungle husband here,” she revealed, sharing her mixed emotions. Georgia has always been candid about her feelings, particularly during Danny’s adventure in the jungle. She opened up on Instagram, saying: “I’m a bit of an emotional one today.” She explained further: “I think it’s just been bubbling. Obviously, house move on its own is stressful and then working at the same time, solo parenting and having a husband in a jungle. So today’s it’s just kind of come to a head.”

She stressed the importance of staying true to oneself, explaining on her Instagram: “The last thing I want to do is not be my authentic self, which is what my Instagram is. I show real life, I show who I am, I show ups and downs and highs and lows so that you guys feel, you know, less alone with anything you might be struggling with. So I’m just having a bit of a wobble and I’m just a bit tired and just making sure I’m looking after everyone and keeping everybody happy.” Danny paid homage to his wife’s incredible effort in handling their house move solo, saying in disbelief: “I left my wife to move house, so I’m surprised she’s still with me, to be honest, because she moved house all by herself.”

Added to Georgia’s mounting challenges was an accident involving one of the moving trucks, occurring just shy of their new abode. The crash led to a mishap with some belongings, including Danny’s treasured golf clubs. Cut off from home developments while on I’m A Celeb due to the show’s no-contact rule, Danny only grasped the magnitude of the disarray upon reuniting with his family, seeing first-hand how “overwhelmed” Georgia had become. Opening up on the Parenting Hell podcast, Danny said: “When I got back, my wife was like, ‘I just think I need to go away to a hut [by] myself for a few days’. “I said, ‘Just go and take yourself away and have a few days [alone]’. You know what it’s like, she was overwhelmed. It got too much for her and I could see it in her. I was like, ‘You just need to go away’.”
