Following a brief exit in 2012, he’s been a series regular since 2014. William has taken on some big storylines as Dylan, including his divorce from Sam Nicholls. Hannah is a make-up artist who regularly works on TV shows and films. Her work includes 2003’s Between Two Women, TV series Cutting It and one-off show Ghost Hunting with Girls Aloud. She and William married back in 2010 and have been loved-up ever since. The couple are parents to twin boys, Blake Stephen and Max Idris. Both William and Hannah tend to keep their personal life private, but William has shared a few family snaps on social media in the past. When he joined the cast of Casualty in 2011, he gave a rare glimpse into his relationship with Hannah. Speaking at the time, the actor said they enjoy exercising and heading to the cinema together. “When I have time off I like spending it with my wife – we got married only last year – and she keeps me from from the worst excesses of a luvvie lifestyle. We both like to relax with vigorous physical exertion; boxing, running, cluedo. We love the cinema too,” he told Holby TV.

Prior to becoming an actor, William went to medical school and worked in hospitals. He ended up quitting medical school, previously stating he used to get “bored very quickly”. After this, he opted to pursue a career in acting, having become inspired by some people he met during his studies. He landed roles in films such as Northanger Abbey, Snatch and Goal II: Living the Dream, as well as series such as Red Cap, Robin Hood and Vital Signs. He also starred in The Suspicions of Mr Whicher. In more recent years, William has appeared in Death in Paradise, Midsomer Murders and Pointless Celebrities.
