Privacy NoticeTwo-time Olympic gold medallist Andy Murray will be competing for Team GB one last time in Paris. The tennis legend announced it would be his last tournament before retiring from the sport. Murray, 37, became the first male tennis player to secure two Olympic singles gold medals after beating Roger Federer at the 2012 London Olympics and Juan Martin del Potro in Rio 2016. He has also been a Wimbledon champion twice, after beating Novak Djokovic in 2013 and Milos Raonic in 2016. Playing for Team GB one last time, the tennis star will compete alongside Dan Evans in the doubles match. Murray was meant to compete in the singles game during the Paris Olympics, but unfortunately, withdrew just days before, he said in a statement: “I’ve taken the decision to withdraw from the singles to concentrate on the doubles with Dan.”

As we await Murray’s last ever tennis tournament before his impending retirement, let’s take a closer look at his family life. Including their sprawling £5 million Surrey home they sold in order to move into their ‘dream’ family home. After his retirement, the tennis star can look forward to spending more quality time with his wife, Kim and their four children, Sophia, eight, Edie, six, Teddie, four, and Lola, three. The couple, who tied the knot in 2015, are known for their privacy and keep their brood away from the spotlight. During an interview with This Morning’s Alison Hammond, Murray gave a rare insight into life with four kids at home. He admitted: “Seeing the kids sitting at the table, behaving and eating their food and going to bed at the right time, those sort of things make me proud.”

Murray also delighted fans when he provided a sneak peek inside their jaw-dropping £5million Surrey mansion, complete with a swimming pool, gym, massage room and tennis courts (of course)! While they currently live in Oxshott, Surrey, we can’t help but admire their former home until they release snaps of their new abode. Being a professional athlete means maintaining a healthy diet to fuel those intense workouts, so, it’s no surprise that Murray’s former home boasted a massive kitchen for whipping up all sorts of nutritious meals. In one photo, the tennis legend can be seen holding a huge plate of sushi, with his modern kitchen, boasting a marble kitchen island and high-gloss cream cabinets in the background.

A large wooden dining table with a floral centrepiece and an internal window peering into another room could also be spotted. The Olympic medalist and his family also have a glass dining table where they enjoy meals on Emma Bridgewater’s breakfast plates. And now we know what fuels a champion; scrambled eggs and a smoothie! They have dining room chairs made of metal, a modern edge to the wooden table and a large tree in the corner of the room. In a snap taken on New Year’s Eve a couple of years back, we can confirm that Murray’s bed is huge and there is plenty of space for bottles of beer and bubbles! The bed has a large grey quilted headboard and the pair have opted for crisp white sheets. Their garden was sprawling with a manicured lawn – perfect for the children to play on. It even became the background for his dress-up as he confessed: “When your daughters want to play dress up and say “daddy put on your skirt! I tried to explain it was a kilt not a skirt but they assured me it was definitely a skirt”.

The couple have reportedly moved into a property in Oxshott, Surrey which they have built, boasting a swimming pool, tennis court and gym. Murray announced his retirement on Instagram earlier this month after arriving in Paris for the Olympics. He said: “Arrived in Paris for my last ever tennis tournament. Competing for GB have been by far the most memorable weeks of my career and I’m extremely proud to get do it one final time!”
