Privacy NoticeCosta Coffee launched their festive menu in November but with just days until Christmas Day, OK! taste tested some of the nation’s favourite hot drinks and uncovered a clear favourite. I headed to my nearest Costa and the first drink I opted to try was the Sticky Toffee Latte, which comes with whipped cream, toffee sauce and a sprinkling of bronze shimmer dust. It’s aesthetically pleasing to look at and is perfect for those who love a strong coffee with a touch of sweetness. If hot drinks aren’t your thing, you can order an iced version to enjoy when you take a break from your Christmas shopping. I then tried the Roasted Hazel Hot Chocolate, which is sweetly decorated with gold stars.

There’s a strong hit of hazelnut and this feels like a more grown up hot chocolate. I really enjoyed this but it didn’t feel as festive as other options on the menu, which leads us to the final drink. My favourite hot drink from the menu was the Terry’s Chocolate Orange Hot Chocolate. Not only did it look fab, it tasted amazing. It’s very sweet and it tastes exactly like a chocolate orange but in drink form. Much more like the popular chocolate, you won’t want to share this with anyone.

And, to make it even better – you get a segment of Terry’s Chocolate Orange on the side! Of course, you can’t enjoy a festive drink without a sweet treat too. I had to try the Crispy Festive Wreath, a dark chocolate crispy treat with caramel and covered in white chocolate. It was delicious and is the perfect treat – the only downside is I wanted a second one! If you want something savoury, there are plenty of options on the menu with Costa Coffee’s new Pigs and Blankets Toastie featuring succulent pork sausage and maple cured bacon, with sweet, caramelised onion chutney, all in tempting garlic, onion and sage crumbed cheese-topped bread.

Or, you can try the new Vegan Turkey and Trimmings Toastie, which consists of vegan turkey with stuffing, yummy cranberry sauce, vegan mayonnaise, vegan gravy, all in toasted white bread. All drinks and food can also be ordered via Click & Collect or through delivery via Just Eat, Deliveroo and Uber Eats.
