If you’re looking for a convenient and comfy place to stay in the city without lifting a finger, then the new YOTELPAD London Stratford is the place to book. With its high-tech features and bonus amenities, this hotel is a taste of the future and quickly became our home away from home, with some added luxury at the touch of a button. Whether it’s a city break or a one-night stay for an event, it can be difficult hunting down a hotel in London which is one, afforable and two, in an ideal location. There’s a minefield of different properties across the city, so we found that YOTELPAD London Stratford had everything we were looking for.
Our Studio Pad was trendy and super high-tech

We checked ourselves into a Studio Pad, which was airy with wide floor-to-ceiling windows, and while the room wasn’t huge, it cleverly made the most of every nook and cranny with its nifty designs and features. It had various control buttons for the light, heating and extension of the bed – making it easier than ever to tailor the room to our liking. The bed extends with the touch of a button, helping to maximise the floor space in the day before turning into a cosy haven with crisp white sheets and those soft hotel pillows you want to take home by night. On each side of the bed we found a reading light and controls for all the other lights in the bedroom, making it super easy for us to set our preferred ambience from our cloud of comfort. If you’re staying for business or pleasure, you’re guaranteed a cosy night’s sleep, with extra thanks to the floor-to-ceiling blackout curtains. Our room had trendy wooden panelling from the ceiling to the wall behind the bed, helping to create a cosy yet stylish space. Combined with wooden flooring and black interiors, the contemporary room felt fresh and chic, a place where we could have stayed for the entire week.

Keeping the room airy and spacious, the bathroom had frosted glass

The bathroom was stylish with black and white interiors and frosted glass separating it from the bedroom. While we wouldn’t recommend staying with someone you’re not quite close to, the frosted glass made the room to feel even bigger. Other features in the room that were welcome additions included the seating area with a bench and small table – perfect if you fancy a meal in! There was also a desk for anyone on a work trip, or in our case, a place to unpack our toiletries. Our room came with a small kitchenette equipped with a microwave, toaster and coffee machine, so we had the option to make breakfast or an evening meal in. It had everything else we could possibly need, from wine glasses, tumblers, cutlery, plates and a chopping board. But if you’d rather not lift a finger during your stay, the hotel has a ‘Grab + Go’ area where you can find cool refreshments, breakfast goodies and snacks for those lazier mornings in bed or if you’re in a rush to get out the door and explore the city. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant, but with the ‘Grab + Go’ bar it has all the essentials you could need without needing to be disturbed.

The hotel is super functional in every detail, making it the perfect stay for a weekend in the city or for those looking to stay somewhere for work. The night we stayed, we went to an event at The O2 and were able to get back to our hotel in just 20 minutes on the tube or Uber ride. You can book your stay at YOTELPAD London Stratford here.
