Privacy Notice Holly Willoughby is set to present a new ITV gameshow, less than a year after her departure from This Morning. The 43-year-old is set to a reboot of cult Nineties show You Bet! alongside Stephen Mulhern, 27 years after the original last aired, hosted by Darren Day. The show will return to ITV1 and ITVX with two action-packed primetime event specials this Autumn, ITV have confirmed and will be “crammed full of epic challenges, mind-blowing feats, big name celebrities and nail-biting suspense.” Members of the public will also be a huge part of the show, as they will use their unique abilities to pull off the most outrageous challenges imaginable, for the chance to win a huge cash prize.

Speaking on her new role, Holly said: “I’m so excited to be part of this iconic game show with the fabulous Stephen Mulhern. I’m looking forward to seeing the astonishing skills on show from the challengers and which of our celebrity panellists can come out on top.” Echoing her enthusiasm, Stephen, who hosts the much loved gameshow Catchphrase continued: “I loved You Bet! as a kid, so I’m very excited to be hosting this with the wonderful Holly Willoughby. From the big and spectacular to the unique and unexpected, I can’t wait to see what extraordinary skills the challengers have up their sleeves.”

Katie Rawcliffe, Head of Entertainment Commissioning ITV expressed her excitement at having the Dancing On Ice duo on board. “You Bet! is part of a stellar entertainment line up for ITV and ITVX this Autumn, and we are thrilled to have Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern at the helm,” she expressed. “It’s great to be able to bring back this legendary game show alongside the likes of returning entertainment favourites I’m A Celeb…, The Voice and The NTAs, plus brand new series Password, Romesh Ranganathan’s Parents’ Evening and Dress the Nation.” James Fox and Dom Waugh, joint MDs of Rollercoaster Television promise “a nostalgic treat for all the family.” The original show ran for nine years with the late Bruce Forsyth and Matthew Kelly having previously fronted the show. Fans expressed their excitement for the return on social media, as one penned: “Honestly THE only show I’ve been wishing a comeback for!” Another wrote: “I think about You Bet A LOT. There was a guy who could identify cars just from the sounds of their doors closing.
