Privacy NoticeHelen Flanagan has candidly shared the “sad” reality of her past relationship with footballer Scott Sinclair and the challenges she faces as a mum-of-three in the dating world. In an emotional moment on Wednesday’s Celebs Go Dating episode in a conversation with Anna Williamson and Dr Tara, Helen became tearful discussing her split from Scott. The 34 year old actress, known for her role on Coronation Street, parted ways with her fiancé, 35, in 2022 after a 13-year romance. Now single for two years, Helen is on Celebs Go Dating to find new love. During a heartfelt conversation, she confessed feeling “invisible” and struggling for Scott’s attention.

“We weren’t right for each other,” Helen admitted. “We weren’t compatible anymore. I remember I always used to feel quite invisible with Scott. I feel like I was always fighting to get his attention,” she revealed. Continuing her story, the soap star reflected: “I remember I always used to feel quite invisible with Scott. I feel like I was always fighting to get his attention. The arguments that we’d have, were just so… it was really sad,” reports the Mirror. Helen also touched on her experience at the masked mixer in the show’s first episode, where celebrities choose their dates while incognito. She opened up about being ‘upfront’ with potential dates about her status as a mother, which led to an emotional moment.

Helen, who shares children Matilda, seven, Delilah, five, and Charlie, three, with Scott, couldn’t hold back tears. “I know I do it,” she admitted. “I don’t know why I do it. But I think, I don’t know if I feel like anyone’s going to really love me”. In the first episode of Celebs Go Dating Helen went on a date with Luke, after meeting at the masked mixer. He seemed to have no problems with her being a mum as the pair enjoyed a smooch on their first date. Although Helen had a great time with her first date, on Wednesday night’s episode, Anna and Dr Tara set the star up on yet another date with lawyer Yoss, where she said she would try not to speak about her children. Joining the former Corrie star Helen on this year’s Celebs Go Dating are ex-Gogglebox star Stephen Webb, Married at First Sight’s Ella Morgan, Love Island’s Chris Taylor, Made in Chelsea’s Tristan Phipps and Hollyoaks actress and singer Jamelia. Influencer Lauryn Goodman is also set to join the agency half way through. Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
