Privacy NoticeGood Morning Britain fans have called for Laura Tobin to “ditch” her climate clock following an update on Wednesday 24 July’s forecast. The weather presenter’s new Climate Clock, which she introduced on Monday 22 July – Climate Emergency Day – has “ticked below five years for the first time.” She explained that “we need to drastically cut fossil fuel emissions to limit global warming to 1.5C above pre-industrial levels.” However, during today’s show, viewers took to social media to express their annoyance. One viewer simply stated: “Lose the climate clock.” Another agreed and added: “She needs to stop preaching her own views on the climate on this show and get rid of that stupid clock. Just tell us the weather.” A third person wrote: “ALARMIST clock out again today! ! “hotest ever”! ! LMFAO haven’t looked at your history books lately nor looked deeper into historical global temperatures!!” reports the Express. Despite this, some fans focused on Tobin’s appearance on the morning show. One fan gushed: “@Lauratobin1 Good Morning Laura looking gorgeous today from top to toe.” Another agreed, adding: “I can’t take my eyes off of your dress! It’s mesmerising! You look stunning, as always.” This comes after fans were left unimpressed earlier this month when Laura Tobin gave an update on the weather forecast as endless rain continued to batter the country. The UK has been drenched this month, with England and Wales feeling the chill below the usual July warmth. Weather presenter Laura hinted at a “disappointingly cool again” vibe but is crossing her fingers for brighter skies by the weekend. Yet this forecast hasn’t gone down well with everyone.

A disgruntled viewer responded on social media: “Summer is over roll on autumn/fall and winter it will be much warmer.” Another chimed in: “‘Hottest June ever recorded’ Really? I’ve still got the heating on dear.” And someone else added their opinion: “June was globally the warmest on record? ? ? ? that would obviously include the UK which clearly it wasn’t so how could it be globally the warmest? The UK surely is part of the globe.” Some parts of England, especially East Anglia, the Midlands and the south-east, have already seen around a month’s worth of rain, leading to many asking when summer is going to arrive. Some weather forecasters have also predicted that an Iberian thunderstorm could unleash nearly a months’ worth of rainfall in a heavy torrent this weekend (27 July). This comes as a big change as the country was bathing in excessive heat, with the mercury simmering around 30C for most of last week.Story SavedYou can find this story in My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
