Privacy NoticeGood Morning Britain’s Laura Tobin had ITV viewers all saying the same thing as she delivered her weather forecast on Tuesday 16 July. Despite being the bearer of bad news about the unusually chilly summer, with some parts of the UK experiencing a month’s worth of rain in just the first week of July and temperatures dropping dramatically, viewers found solace in her baby blue outfit. “Laura a blue beauty!” one fan gushed, while another added: “Looking beautiful in that dress today.” “We are halfway through the meteorological summer and it has been a cool one so far – but why? ” Laura asked as she presented the weather report, empathising with viewers who were growing weary of constantly reaching for their umbrellas. “It is down to the jet stream. The jet stream divides the cool air to the north and the warm air to the south and at the moment the jet stream is to the south of us, so we’re on the cold side of things.” Continuing to deliver the disappointing news, she explained: “When the jet stream is overhead, that is when things turn wetter.” Sign up to OK’s TV newsletter to get updates sent to your inbox for free

Later this week, particularly in the south and south-east of England, temperatures are expected to rise. However, Laura cautioned that there could be more harsh bouts of unseasonable summer rain to come first, reports the Express. Eastern Scotland, northern England and the Midlands are all still set for further downpours. Yet Laura has promised “a different story further south” with temperatures “a little higher than average” as Brits head towards the weekend. Viewers praised her beautiful appearance, but some demanded to know what was going on as they lamented the unusually chilly July so far. “Okay please explain the real reason the weather is so poor for summer and don’t use climate change, the real reason please,” one viewer begged.

Another joked: “Isn’t it the hottest July on record?” GMB’s Laura has become a household name after catapulting to fame on the ITV breakfast show. Following a stint at the BBC, she appeared on ITV’s Daybreak from 2012 and continued as a weather presenter when the show became Good Morning Britain in 2014. The Northampton-born meteorologist has been married to Dean Brow since August 2010 – and they’ve been together for two decades. The couple share a little girl named Charlotte Blossom Brown, who was born in 2017 and the youngster even appeared alongside her mother on GMB when she was just a year old.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
