Privacy Notice Trisha Goddard left her Good Morning Britain co-hosts in an awkward silence on Thursday (15 August) when she went on a rant about Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague’s recent split. The TV star, 66, was chatting with Richard Madeley and Richard Arnold as they discussed the day’s headlines, including the Love Island stars’ break-up announcement. The couple confirmed news of their split on Wednesday (14 August) in heartfelt Instagram statements, but it was Domino’s Pizza’s response to the split on X, formerly Twitter, that really got Trisha fired up. This led to her comparing the couple to King Charles III and Princess Diana, but when she failed to explain her comparison, it left her co-stars cringing in silence.

The live TV mishap started when Richard was running through the latest showbiz news and mentioned the wave of reactions to Molly-Mae and Tommy’s split, particularly online. Domino’s had tweeted: “Everyone at Domino’s joins the nation in mourning the break-up of Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury’s relationship. Our thoughts and condolences are with them at this time.” But for Trisha, this was just a way for the company to profit from someone else’s heartbreak. Richard initially commented on the success of Molly-Mae and Tommy despite not winning the ITV2 series and said: “This goes to show the impact over the last five years and they didn’t even win the show”, reports the Mirror. Trisha then weighed in with her thoughts, expressing concern about the nature of media attention: “Well, I don’t know whether it’s a bad impact or money-making, people making money out of somebody’s misery. I’m sorry, businesses are commenting, it’s about ‘how many more people can we pull into our website?'” She labelled this approach as “clickbait.”

Kate is facing a poignant summer as she reflects on the 20th anniversary of her first encounter with Derek Draper this Friday, August 16, without him by her side.

Kate Garraway recently returned to host Good Morning Britain after taking care of her father

Recently, 57 year old Kate took an unexpected break from her duties when she had to go to the hospital urgently to support her father, Gordon Garraway, who reportedly experienced a suspected stroke and heart attack. After a noticeable absence from the morning show, which sparked concern among her friends, Kate made a much-anticipated return and posted a comforting message on Instagram, announcing that her father Gordon was recovering. “Hi all – sorry I disappeared from here when my Dad collapsed and rushed to hospital 2 weeks ago while having a holiday with my Mum at my brother’s”, she wrote. “It was very scary but am so pleased that he is now stable and even recovering a bit in hospital – we have so much to be grateful for, but are taking it a day at a time. Huge thanks to the incredible nhs staff for their endless kindness and the heart.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
