Privacy NoticeGogglebox star Stephen Webb has opened up about his break-up from husband Daniel Lustig-Webb – and admits that he still washes his underwear despite splitting eight months ago. The reality star, 53, is looking for love on the new series of Celebs Go Dating after announcing in April that he and Daniel – who both starred on Channel 4’s Gogglebox together – had decided to divorce after an 11-year relationship. Speaking to OK! in an exclusive chat, Stephen revealed that Daniel encouraged him to take part in E4’s Celebs Go Dating. “I said to him, ‘If you don’t want me to do it, I won’t do it,’ as we had been broken up for eight months but he said, ‘Do it, I think it would be really good for you,'” he said. “He’s been so supportive.”

He added that they’re currently still living together in Brighton while they try to sell their apartment. “It’s really odd because we have certain roles in the house. We’re still living together because we’re trying to sell our apartment – he does the cooking and I do the washing so I’m still washing his pants,” he said. “We were in love once and we wanted to respect that and not end up fighting,” he added. “We obviously want a book deal on how to divorce – we’re going to show you kids how it’s done!” Stephen joins the likes of Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan, musician Jamelia, influencer Lauryn Goodman and Married At First Sight UK’s Ella Morgan in the star-studded line-up for Celebs Go Dating as well as Made in Chelsea’s Tristan Phipps and Love Island’s Chris Taylor.

Speaking about joining Celebs Go Dating, Stephen admitted that his therapy sessions with experts Paul C Brunson, Anna Williamson and Dr. Tara Su proved to be emotional for him after losing both his mum and dad earlier this year. “I thought I would sail through the process without revealing the true me but you’re at the agency for twelve weeks and you can’t keep that up,” he said. “The last year has been awful and I pushed those feelings down. I spoke about it in the sessions and now my chest isn’t as heavy.” Celebs Go Dating premieres Monday 19 August at 9pm on E4.
