During an episode of the hit Channel 4 show, which Pete is a fan favourite on, Pete candidly claimed she’s ‘doing his head in’ as he opened up on family life. In a candid chat with his sister Sophie, 28, on the sofa, Pete, 29, shared his couple woes from earlier this year. He explained: “Paige has been doing my head in. You know [daughter] Eva’s birthday party? Have you rung about the hot pot? Have you rung about the hot pot? I was in a meeting at work the other day and she rung me four times. Guess what about?”. He added with a laugh: “Honestly, I said, why are we not just having sandwiches? Do I look like I am Jeff Bezos?”

In 2021, Pete and Paige tied the knot and in the same year welcomed their first child, son Jimmy. A year later in December 2022, during an episode of Gogglebox Pete revealed in a sweet announcement that they were expecting their second child together, who was born in June 2023. Introducing the little one to the world on Gogglebox, Pete was seen cradling the newborn baby girl as he called out to his sister in the other room: “Sophie, did I tell you Eva’s full name? She’s going to be Eva Sylvie Sandiford.” The doting new auntie then sweetly shouted back: “I love it!”

During the years they’ve been regular staples of our Friday nights, the brother and sister have gone through enormous life changes of their own. Sophie embarked on a brand new career as a florist while Pete got married and started a family. Earlier this month, it was reported that although Pete is a fan-favourite on the show alongside his sister, he can’t afford to give up his day job as a roofer despite his TV fame. The Sun reported that the show’s £1,500 a month fee isn’t enough for the dad of one to live off. Speaking to the publication at an awards ceremony, Pete said: “We just saw Eammon Holmes. I am just a builder from Blackpool, so it is a bit strange when celebrities know us.
