Privacy NoticeGood Morning Britain’s Richard Arnold made a surprising confession about his personal life on the show. The 54-year-old TV personality was back in the ITV studio on Friday, August 30, to discuss the latest celebrity news with co-hosts Kate Garraway and Adil Ray. However, he unexpectedly revealed that he had a minor disagreement with his long-term partner Stuart before coming to work. While discussing a social media post by Rod Stewart denying any discord with his wife Penny Lancaster, Richard admitted: “My other half and I have fallen out over a shower attachment”, which left his colleagues in fits of laughter. Despite being together for many years, Richard has always kept his relationship with Stuart private, rarely mentioning him on the popular breakfast show and never sharing a photo of him online.

In March, as GMB’s Susanna Reid – who is due to return to our screens in September after a well-deserved summer break – celebrated the 10th anniversary of the first same-sex marriage in England and Wales, Richard briefly opened up about his own relationship. He said: “We’ve been together for 19 years now my partner and I, it feels like five minutes, under water”. He also hinted at his hopes for the future, adding: “Still no ring on my finger, but I’m waiting,” reports the Mirror. Richard previously opened up about their cherished “man-cave” summer house, nestled within the garden. Reflecting on 2022, he mentioned how essential outdoor spaces had become during lockdown. “Our garden has become a real sanctuary for us. For many people during lockdown who were lucky enough to have an outdoor space – or frankly even a window box it took your mind away from everything that was going on” he shared. “For the last 10 years, our garden has been very much that.” “Particularly when my dad passed away and when my other half lost his mother, we would spend a lot of time in the garden.” Richard did note, however, that Stuart has the greener thumb between them. Taking a hiatus from Good Morning Britain during the earlier part of the summer, Richard rejoined the show in July, 2024. On his return, he playfully acknowledged his co-host’s presence, joking: “Nice to see you back matey. You brought the weather with you and a suit to match.” Happy to be back, Richard responded: “And a cheeky little glow-up as well!” GMB is on ITV weekdays at 6amStory SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
