During Tuesday’s show, Kate Garraway and Sean Fletcher tossed over to Laura for the week’s weather lowdown. Amid musings of a premature end to summer, Laura cheerily confessed she wasn’t too fussed about the UK’s gloomy outlookshe’s off to a sunny escape! Kate, having hoped for more sun, quipped about hurrying to don all things bright and breezy, saying: “I was trying to wear everything summery quickly before it has to go back in the suitcase under the bed.” Laura didn’t mince words as she hit back with: “You know what Kate? I actually don’t care because I’m going on holiday tomorrow.”, reports the Mirror. Kate seemed a tad surprised at the candid reveal, while Sean nudged that viewers were getting a glimpse of the real Laura. With a wry smile, Kate responded: “Ah, right, brilliant. The veil, the mask dropped then didn’t it?!”

Amid laughter, Laura told those tuning in that they might want to brace for rain at home whilst she basks in the sunshine. Kate’s curiosity peaked as she asked about Laura’s destination, to which Laura teased: “I’m going to a warm place. For the next 10 days, it’s going to rain here, sorry about that.” She cheekily added, “Isn’t it crazy, it’s almost like I knew!” All in jest, the presenters continued the banter without a beat missed.

There’s no word yet on who will pinch-hit for Laura as she soaks up the sun elsewhere. Meanwhile, Sean Fletcher filled the shoes of Richard Madeley earlier that day, stepping up where needed. At the start of the show, Kate announced to viewers that regular host Richard was out sick, being “poorly”.
