Ray replied to the tweet with: “Ah thanks @GBNUpdates – I’ve had a great time over the last three years and know it’s going to go from strength to strength.” He quipped about needing the weekend to recover after his exit was confirmed, as he joked on X, which used to be called Twitter: “definitely looking forward to the weekend”. Ray had been part of the GB News team for just three years when he announced his departure, reports the Express. During his career, Ray worked alongside names such as the late Caroline Flack, producing content for major broadcasters such as Channel 5, Channel 4, MTV and E! Entertainment. His role at GB News marked his return to the UK after spending over a decade in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). While in the UAE, Ray was responsible for creating a lifestyle format for Dubai One, the country’s first ever English language magazine show. The show was a hit, with nearly 700 episodes airing in 16 countries during the five years he worked on it. More recently, Ray hosted the Covid awareness show Stay At Home during the pandemic, providing a sense of normality for those confined to their homes due to lockdowns.
