Privacy NoticeJames Corden candidly admitted that his trial with diabetes medicine Ozempic in an attempt to lose weight wasn’t a hit, indicating the drug didn’t quite do the trick for him. The former Late Late Show favourite opened up about his struggles with weight and his recent experimental use of a diabetes drug known to help slim down as a side effect. Despite giving it a go, James realised his relationship with food was less about hunger, as he jokingly confessed to indulging in a sizable Dairy Milk whilst at a carwash, not because of an empty stomach but for other reasons. On his Sirius XM segment, James shared: “I tried Ozempic, and it won’t be surprising to you when you look at me now, that it didn’t really work.”

Further exploring his eating habits, he revealed: “I tried it for a bit and then what I realised was I was like, ‘Oh no, nothing about my eating has anything to do with being hungry.'” Pointing out the inconsistency between appetite and his snacking, James added: “All it does is make you feel not hungry. But I am very rarely eating [just because I’m hungry].” “You are looking at someone who’s eaten a king size, and when I say king size Dairy Milk – one you give someone for Christmas – in a carwash,” he laughed. Addressing his emotional connection to food, he expressed: “None of that was like, oh, I’m so hungry. It is not that, it’s something else.”

Ozempic is the brand name for Semaglutide, which is intended for the treatment of Type 2 diabetes but has a side effect of weight loss via appetite suppression. Also touching upon personal growth and lifestyle changes, the Gavin and Stacey alum pondered about putting an end to booze, sharing: “I am finding myself at a period of my life where I’m feeling like it might be time. Not that I think I’m overdoing it. “But I do feel in myself, it might be time to just stop now and I’m not sure I’m getting great benefits from this now.” I think it’s time for me personally, I think it’s time. I don’t think I need a sponsor. I don’t think I’m there yet. I’m not.” Several celebrities have recently told how they have used Ozempic, including Elon Musk, Rebel Wilson, Sharon Osbourne and Oprah Winfrey. Just earlier this year, Oprah got real about her journey and dropped a documentary titled ‘An Oprah Special: Shame, Blame and the Weight Loss Revolution’ on ABC.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
