Privacy NoticeOn today’s episode of James Martin’s Saturday Morning, ITV’s darling chef welcomed Morston Hall’s culinary whizz Galton Blackiston. Amidst their jovial back-and-forths that had viewers chuckling, some noted an “awkward” undertone to the segment. James Martin had spiced things up by bringing in comrades Galton and Michelin star holder Jason Atherton, as they tackled the not-so-simple task of creating delectable Sloppy Joes. Between the fiery kitchen action, Galton showcased his skill with an exquisite dish of Courgette Flowers stuffed with Cromer Crab and Scallop Mousse. While the onscreen rapport between James and Galton raised a few laughs, there seemed to be a hint of tension that didn’t go unnoticed by the audience. Over on X, previously known as Twitter, fans quickly served up their critiques. One viewer commented: “Weirdest dynamic between Gaston and James this morning. Cringe watch.” Another added: “Get the feeling there’s some bad blood between the chefs this morning. Power plays all over the place,” reports the Mirror.

There was also speculation among the tweets: “I really hope that Galton bloke is being intentionally obnoxious and is acting. Not sure how anyone could work with someone so critical.” Despite the mixed reactions, most believed it was all in good fun, summed up by one fan’s remark: “James and Galton might be buddies, but they bicker like an old married couple.” “Love @ChefGalton and @jamesmartinchef relationship! So funny,” a fan laughed alongside a grinning emoji, clearly enjoying the duo’s on-screen rapport. Viewers are eagerly asking for more of the comedic culinary twosome, with tweets like “The comedy duo we didn’t know we needed. @ChefGalton and @sat_jamesmartin have to have their own show.” Another commented: “Wow! Looks amazing. You two are so entertaining.” Meanwhile, another recounted their own experience of seeing one of the chefs in the flesh: “Had the pleasure of seeing @ChefGalton cook this dish at his demo couple of weeks ago what a lovely man this is TV gold @jamesmartinchef just brilliant you two need do more tv together you make me laugh so much.” The compliments didn’t end there; fans are even likening James Martin and his co-star to legendary comedians, with one tweet reading: “@sat_jamesmartin you and Moston are the new Morecambe and Wise. Brilliant entertainment and we can see the Love and Stress.” In the latest episode, James had foodie notables including Chef Judy Joo and Escape to the Country presenter Jules Hudson in the kitchen, where they conjured up delectable creations like Lamb with Courgette, Figs and Tahini Dressing, and a beautifully rustic Ratatouille.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
