Privacy NoticeThe second season of hit teen drama series Euphoria aired in February 2022 and since then, fans have eagerly anticipating an update on the third series. The programme has been hit with several production delays and now HBO has set a January 2025 start date for the third instalment. Actress Hunter Schafer who plays transgender teen Jules Vaughn on the show, has broken her silence on the production delays and shared an update with what’s happening. While appearing on Alex Hall’s Call Her Daddy podcast, Hunter said: “The real tea is I have no f*****g idea what’s going on, and you can ask literally all of the cast.” The show has been plagued with devastation as of late as a result of the deaths of actor Angus Cloud who starred as Fezco “Fez” O’Neill on the show, as well as producer Kevin Turen.

Hunter continued: “I think everyone feels a certain sense of anticipation for if we are supposed to do season three. “Obviously I’m still coming to qualms about what’s happened and losing people that we really loved and were a part of this family and everything. If we do go back, that’s going to be tough.” Despite the uncertainty, the television star is still hopeful that a great third season could be created, both for the fans and everyone involved. “I think there’s a world in which we can channel that into making it a beautiful season three if it is supposed to happen, but I think that s**t really threw everyone for a loop,” Hunter expressed. “And then there’s all these industry whatever political things that go into whether or not this is happening, but that’s emotionally … a big part of what’s happening, too.”
