Privacy NoticeEscape To The Country returned this week after taking a few weeks off due to the BBC’s coverage of the Paris 2024 Olympics, and it came back with a bang. In the episode, host Nicki Chapman was seen emotional admitting she was ‘jealous’ over the ‘best room she’s ever seen’ on the show which has been airing for over two decades. The episode involved a couple, Andra and Dan who were living in Manchester at the time, but were hoping to up sticks to the Chesire countryside with their young daughter. The pair requested a four bedroom, detached family home with a large, private garden, as Nicki took them around a wide and very tempting selection of properties, including one that left them in tears.

Nicki then exclaimed Andra was also making her emotional as she held back her own tears. “You’re making me go, hang on a minute, this isn’t in the script!” Nicki laughed while wiping away her tears. The star then took to Instagram to share the clip from the episode as she admitted she was ‘well jel’ of ‘the best garden room she’s ever seen’.

“After a few weeks off @escape_country is back. Brand new episode with me today, Nicki began in the caption. We have a wonderful selection of properties for a young couple, currently living in Manchester, who are hoping to move to the Cheshire countryside with their young daughter. In this episode we discovered the best garden room I’ve ever seen. Well Jel.” The episode, which aired earlier this week was a hit with fans, as they took to the comments to praise the show. “This was a really good episode; fab properties and a lovely couple. Just wish we knew whether they bought the mystery house,” penned one. Another wrote: “Wonderful show full emotion and course our superb presenter as calm as always Nicki Chapman,” while a third said: “I enjoyed the Olympics but I couldn’t wait for Escape to the country to return. Beautiful houses on today’s episode, I’d like all of them please.” A fourth, who could relate to the tears wrote: “Ooooo can’t wait to see this one.
