Emmerdale’s Aaron Dingle has been in a tough spot following Anthony Fox’s death, after leaving him for dead. Last week, fans watched as Aaron confronted the villainous Anthony over his actions towards Ruby, which quickly escalated when Aaron lost control, leaving Anthony severely injured. Panicked that he might have killed him, Aaron sought help from John Sugden. The duo were previously seen attempting to make it appear as though Anthony had left the village by moving his car to Cain Dingle’s garage. In Tuesday night’s episode, John was seen reassuring Aaron that they were ‘in the clear’, but there was someone they didn’t account for.

At the end of the episode, Aaron and John were spotted in the garage late at night, with Aaron ensuring that nothing was left in Anthony’s car. “Just need to get the chassis crushed tonight and then we’re done,” Aaron stated, while John seemed confident that everything was under control. “You get rid of that thing and we are spotless. Nothing to connect us to anything. Home and dry,” he declared. However, as they prepared to leave, viewers noticed a puzzled Manpreet Sharma peering out the window due to the noise.

Manpreet could cause ‘big problems’ for Aaron

It remains uncertain whether she saw the pair, but it suggests she could spell trouble for them in the future. Despite this drama unfolding in the Dales, fans are convinced that Aaron isn’t actually responsible for Anthony’s death, suggesting that another person delivered the fatal blow, reports the Mirror. “Ffs Aaron better not be sent down for this I think someone else did it,” one fan exclaimed on X, previously known as Twitter, while another was adamant: “Someone came and finished Anthony off. Not believing it was all Aaron’s doing.” Emmerdale’s Beth Cordingly, who portrays Ruby Fox-Miligan, took to Instagram last week to honour her colleague Nicholas Day as his character Anthony Fox wrapped up filming. Sharing behind-the-scenes snaps with Nicholas, Beth wrote a heartfelt message: “In case anyone is under any illusions I just want to stress what a beautiful man Nick Day is, in real life,” she started off her touching post. “We were very lucky to have an actor of his calibre and talent playing my father, Anthony, in @emmerdale. It wasn’t an easy role for anyone to take on and he found playing this person extremely challenging,” she continued, urging fans to ‘be kind’ when they see him around. “I loved working with Nick, we all did. It was an emotional experience requiring a lot of trust and a lot of love. He’s a gem. If you see him in the street please remember he’s NOT Anthony. I’m sure you all will – so forgive me for sounding patronising – I just wanted to say. Sometimes, as actors, we need a little bit of protection when we put ourselves out there telling difficult stories that need to be told.”
