Emmerdale’s Katie Hill has revealed all on her special connection with on-screen grandmother Emma Atkins away from the ITV soap cameras

Before you know it, they’re buzzing around on stolen quads, bringing thrills back into Sarah’s life. But eyebrows are bound to skyrocket when Charity (played by the brilliant Emma) catches her granddaughter and Kammy in what could be more than just mates. Gushing to the media, Katie couldn’t sing enough praises about Emma, saying: “My relationship with Emma is amazing. She’s a funny, lovely person and we share a dressing room together so in-between scenes we’re always catching up.”, reports Leicestershire Live.

“Emma is more like a best friend to me and she’s nowhere near as old as my grandma. If I was having a bit of a bad day she’s the first one to recognise it and ask if I’m okay. We have a really nice relationship with each other. We’re all a close bunch really.” Katie then gave fans a sneak peek into what they can anticipate from Kammy’s entrance, saying: “Kammy is a really fun, bubbly, cheeky chap character and he’s a bit of a bad boy but he’s got a soft side as well.

What will Charity Dingle say about her granddaughter’s new friend Kammy

“I think the audience are really going to like him. I can’t wait to see where Sarah and Kammy go together and I think he’s going to be a really good character. “Kammy brings out the Dingle side of Sarah and Jacob [Gallagher] sort of brings her back. You’ll have to wait and see what happens with that. Charity is suspicious of Kammy at the start so she sort of wants to find out more and do a bit of digging.” Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 at 7.30pm and available to stream from 7am on ITVX
