She was introduced as Sam Dingle’s love interest after striking up a conversation with the fan favourite, played by James Hooton, on an adult chat line and she ended up becoming a permanent resident. However, her romance with Sam was short-lived as she swindled him out of his money, found herself sleeping in a barn, and eventually started working for Val Pollard (Charlie Hardwick) at the B&B. Fast forward to 2016, and Tracy tied the knot with David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden), before falling head over heels for Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter). The couple welcomed a baby girl named Frankie, but Nate left the village last year for a fresh start elsewhere following a violent altercation with his father Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley).

However Amy isn’t the only member of her real-life family to have starred on Emmerdale – her older sister also made an appearance in the Dales years earlier. Sally Walsh is also an actress and played teenager Lyn Hutchinson on the soap from 1997 to 2000. Lyn made her debut on the ITV soap in January 1997 and struck up a friendship with Kelly Windsor (Adele Silva). However, she gained notoriety for bullying a classmate and having relationships with Roy Glover (Nicky Evans) and Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock), whom she cheated on with Scott Windsor (Ben Freeman), reports Leeds Live.

After discovering Scott’s affair with his stepsister Kelly, Lyn decided to end things and bid farewell to the village in 2000. Since her Emmerdale days, Sally has graced our screens in Cold Feet, Fat Friends, The Bill, Heartbeat, Coronation Street, Doctors and EastEnders. In a chat with the Sun, Amy, Sally’s younger sister and another Emmerdale star, shared: “When I first joined Emmerdale, me, my Mum and Kimberley all sat together to watch and we had a little bit of a tea party, which was nice.” She added, “None of us really watched soaps, but because Sally was in Emmerdale before, it is the one we all feel most familiar with, so it’s been nice for us to dip back into it.”

But the talent doesn’t stop there in their family – their sister is none other than Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh. Yorkshire-born Kimberley, 43, who shot to fame on ITV’s Popstars: The Rivals in 2002, is best known as one fifth of the pop sensation Girls Aloud. Despite her Bradford roots, the singer and TV presenter now resides in a beautiful family home in Surrey with her husband Justin and their three sons, Bobby, Cole and Nate. Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 at 7.30pm and available to stream from 7am on ITVX
