Emmerdale’s Mandy Dingle actress Lisa Riley has plans to appear on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! before she turns 50. The 48-year-old says after years of declining the offer, she may finally be ready to challenge herself in the infamous jungle. “I’m A Celebrity is something I would do before I turned 50, as a test for myself. They ask me most years and I wouldn’t rule it out,” she told Woman’s Weekly Magazine. Lisa previously said she had turned down the show several times due to work commitments, but could this finally be her year?

No stranger to a reality show, the actress was a part of Strictly Come Dancing’s 2012 cast, competing alongside the late Robin Windsor. With the help of her professional dance partner, she made it all the way to the semi-final. Should Lisa decide to take on ITV’s popular reality show, it won’t quite be as glamorous as Strictly, but she is up for the challenge. She previously told the Daily Star: “It’s not because of all the creepy crawlies or the challenges, I actually wouldn’t mind those.” For now, Emmerdale viewers will get to see Mandy back in action in a new dramatic storyline set to rock the Dales. Multiple residents are expected to lose their lives when a limo crash results in passengers being stranded on a frozen lake’s thin ice, while another remains trapped in the icy depths below. Teasing what’s to come, she told the magazine: “It’s party night. All the girls are glammed up but things go wrong. “A huge row breaks out in the boys’ limo and there’s utter chaos in the girls’ limo, and both cars separately swerve off the road. “They’re both packed with people and one of them crashes onto a frozen lake.” Seemingly confirming that there will be deaths, she added: “The crash means that dear, dear friends of mine will be leaving the show, which is always sad.” The trailer for the upcoming scenes shows passengers being tossed around in a limo as they scream in terror, before realising they’re balancing on thin ice. Mandy’s fate from the crash remains unknown, but she’s confirmed she has no intention of leaving the soap voluntarily. Emmerdale continues tonight at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
