The Dales just got a bit more thrilling as Emmerdale introduces the newest “resident bad boy” Kammy, who’s sure to stir things up in the village. Making an unforgettable entrance by nicking a quad bike from Moira’s farm in Tuesday’s episode (March 18), he quickly becomes the talk of the town with Ross being wrongly accused for the theft. But it wasn’t just trouble Kammy was making; he also caught the eye of Sarah Sugden who found him trying to kickstart the stubborn bike by the roadside. Poor Sarah has been having a rough time lately, dealing with the end of her romance with Jacob after the sad loss of his mum Leyla Harding and facing disappointment over a false-positive pregnancy test.

Kammy’s entrance came right when actress Katie Hill, who plays Sarah, revealed: “Kammy is a really fun, bubbly, cheeky chap character but he’s got a soft side as well. I think the audience are really going to like him. I can’t wait to see where Sarah and Kammy go together and I think he’s going to be a really good character.” She also dropped hints about a brewing love triangle that is “definitely on the cards” teasing fans with: “Kammy is a bit of a bad boy and Jacob is a training doctor and way more sensible than what Kammy is so it’ll be interesting to see which way she’ll go but it’s been fun for me to dip in and out of both sides of Sarah.”, reports the Manchester Evening News. Adding more intrigue, she said: “Kammy brings out her Dingle side and Jacob sort of brings her back. You’ll have to wait and see what happens with that.” Upon bagging a role in the iconic ITV soap, actor Shebz Miah couldn’t contain his excitement as he gushed: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the cast of Emmerdale. Everyone has been so welcoming and I already feel like a part of the family.”

He further spilled on his new character, revealing, “I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better job – the character is such an exciting one to play and Kammy will definitely ruffle a few feathers, but he does have the gift of the gab so although he causes a lot of mischief, I think it will be hard not to like him!”. Adding to the buzz, Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw expressed their enthusiasm, saying: “We are delighted to be welcoming Shebz to Emmerdale as cheeky charmer Kammy. Charismatic, with a very playful spirit, but ultimately kind at heart, Yorkshire lad Kammy promises to bring both excitement and danger to the village.” Before his stint in the Dales, eagle-eyed fans might recognise Shebz from his cameo in a 2024 episode of Casualty where he portrayed Noor Din, and from popping up in Doctors in 2023 as Reece Shaw. Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 at 7.30pm and available to stream from 7am on ITVX
