The 47-year-old actress has been involved in numerous dramatic storylines over the years, including the recent tragic limo frozen lake crash that resulted in the death of three characters. However, what some fans might not know is that Lucy had a pop star past before her Emmerdale days. She was part of the girl band, Paperdolls, which even supported Boyzone on tour and released the 1998 single Gonna Make You Blush. Recently, Lucy took to Instagram to share a throwback clip of herself performing with Paperdolls, captioning it: “1998 ! ! ! Amazing the things that people find and send to me , soooooo much fun.”

Lucy has previously opened up about her past as a pop star, including supporting Boyzone on tour. Speaking to Inside Soap, she said: “It was a blast. Three girls on the road in their 20s having the best time.” She added: “It was a laugh. We went from thinking we were just a few girls getting together and doing a few songs, to getting signed by a record label and touring. It was a great time.” The actress has occasionally returned to her musical roots, performing as Spice Girl Emma Bunton on Stars in Their Eyes in 2004 and coming third in singing competition Soapstar Superstar in 2006. Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm with an hour-long special on Thursdays.
