More infoJoin us on WhatsApp Natalie Cassidy reportedly had some choice words for Meghan Markle following her Netflix lifestyle show after being left feeling quite “bamboozled”. EastEnders ‘ Natalie, 41, tuned into With Love, Meghan, witnessing the Duchess construct a simple crudite plate with her chum and makeup guru Daniel Martin. The duo were also featured stirring up a spaghetti dish in just one pan. While mother-of-two Natalie observed Meghan’s culinary attempts, she seemed less than impressed. In her podcast, Off the Telly, alongside Gavin and Stacey actress Joanna Page, she described Meghan’s technique as rather “beginner”. She commented: “You don’t cook pasta with a cream linen suit on, number one,” a sentiment echoed by Joanna who added: “Tomatoes as well”, reports the Manchester Evening News. Natalie continued: “No, that’s the first thing. Do you know what, I like Meghan, I mean it, they get a lot of bad press, all of that rubbish, I’m not here to have a go at Meghan, or at Harry, that’s really boring and people do it all the time. They’re living their life, good luck to them.

“But as a lifestyle show, I am sorry, she was chopping up some vegetables, her crudite plate, and I thought, you don’t chop a lot, don’t pretend. Her chopping was quite beginner-ish.” Additionally, Natalie expressed confusion over the simplicity of Meghan’s pasta, remarking: “The pasta she made was very healthy and I genuinely was bamboozled. She was showing us how to put some vegetables on a plate and added a few flowers to it, who can’t do that? “It’s really glossy, it’s really easy, I could put another one on. It is what it is, it’s just easy.” With Love, Meghan is the duchess’s newest Netflix collaboration with Prince Harry. This eight-part lifestyle series features a host of stars including Mindy Kaling and her Suits colleague, Abigail Spencer, known as Dana ‘Scottie’ Scott. Throughout the show, Meghan offers fans a glimpse into her cherished recipes, as well as providing an intimate look at life with Harry and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. However, the series has attracted a wave of critical reviews. Reports by The Mirror claim that Meghan was left “devastated and hurt” by the public’s response to the show. Yet Royal commentator Jennie Bond advises Meghan not to “waste her time” poring over the negative feedback.

She commented: “The pile-on of utter mockery about her show has, in my opinion, been completely out of order. Even cruel. “It is a lifestyle show. It is not a political debate or an analysis of global affairs. It’s not meant to have any great substance. It is a show about making things pretty or tasty or comfortable. It doesn’t pretend to be anything else. So I don’t think Meghan should change anything about it for her next series, which has already apparently been shot. “The crew who worked on it have spoken about how charming and hospitable she was. That’s refreshing to hear. The show has quite a few handy little tips, if you’re interested. And if you’re not, then the answer is blindingly obvious: don’t watch it. But leave the poor woman alone and stop the b****y comments.”
