EastEnders has revealed a sneak peek of Wednesday’s intense hour-long episode, following the catastrophic explosion on Tuesday. The residents’ lives are hanging in the balance, and it’s been confirmed that not everyone will survive. Tuesday’s episode ended in chaos when Reiss Colwell’s car crashed into the Queen Vic after swerving to avoid Ian Beale, who had been shoved into the road by Cindy. The drama unfolded after Cindy discovered Kathy was the real attacker, leading to a confrontation with Ian that resulted in her accidentally shooting him in the arm. In a desperate bid to silence his wife, Ian bribed her to keep quiet, threatening to “make her life a living hell” if she spoke to the police. But an enraged Cindy pushed Ian into the road, where Reiss’ car struck gas cans, causing a massive explosion at the Vic.

With many residents, including Martin, Stacey, Lauren, Sonia, and Sharon, still inside the pub for Honey and Billy’s wedding celebrations, fans are anxiously waiting to find out who will survive. The BBC soap has released new images of the devastating aftermath, showing the residents fighting for their lives. Newlyweds Honey and Billy are seen clinging to each other amidst the rubble in heart-wrenching scenes from Wednesday’s upcoming episode. Suki, Avani, and Denzel are caught in a frantic search for an escape route, while Avani’s dad Ravi appears tense amidst his love interest Denise’s sister Kim, reports the Mirror.

Meanwhile, Jean and Freddie Slater are depicted looking bewildered on the ground, but it’s Martin Fowler who’s stirring up the most worry. In the snapshots, Martin is seen with his stepdaughter Lily, who seems to be in dire straits, and alarmingly, Stacey is missing from the scene as he rushes to locate her in the nail-biting upcoming episodes. On Tuesday’s episode, after some encouragement from Jean, Stacey laid bare her feelings for Martin, only to face rejection. A heart-wrenching moment unfolded as he told his former flame: “What you do Stace, is you mess with my head. I move on, and then you just pull me back.” In tonight’s gripping instalment, viewers will watch as Martin frantically searches for Stacey, who has vanished. Notably absent from the images is Sharon Watts, last seen heading upstairs to change. With EastEnders confirming that not all characters will emerge unscathed, the question on everyone’s lips is: who will make it out alive and who will bid farewell to Albert Square forever?
