Privacy NoticeEastEnders enthusiasts are speculating a dramatic plot twist that could see a beloved character’s funeral, but with the twist that they’re not actually dead. Fans of Linda Carter are on edge after on-set photos hinted at a shocking demise. The cast was spotted filming a funeral scene, with strong hints pointing towards it being Linda’s funeral. She was notably absent from the photos, while her mum, Elaine Peacock, son Johnny Carter and friend Sharon Watts were seen attending a service. A white coffin adorned with a pink rose sparked immediate speculation about Linda’s fate. Her children Nancy and Lee Carter are set to make a grand return to the BBC soap for these scenes, as they were caught on camera filming with their co-stars.

However, some viewers believe that while the funeral may be Linda’s, she might not actually die. It has been suggested that Kellie Bright’s character will meet her end more than a decade after her first appearance. There’s also drama unfolding at the graveside, with Nancy clashing with her grandmother Elaine and Johnny resorting to alcohol to cope with his apparent sorrow. But fans are predicting a significant twist in the soap in the upcoming weeks, suggesting that the funeral might be staged, reports the Mirror. Viewers theorise that Linda’s death and funeral could be a dream sequence or a future scenario, presenting Linda with a glimpse of what could happen if she doesn’t quit drinking. Taking to social media with their theories, one viewer predicted: “Perhaps it’s Linda dreaming or something about the consequences if she keeps drinking. Then she sees that Johnny is doing the same, people fall out etc, and she wakes up to a realisation? Or she sees a therapist and they ask her to imagine something like they did with Amy?” Another enthusiast suggested: “I sense a fake funeral,” while someone else speculated: “Maybe it could be a dream sequence?”

One fan took to X, formerly Twitter, and suggested: “Shirley or it will be one of George’s daughters, I don’t think it’s Linda as that’s too obvious.” While another added: “I reckon it’s a funeral for Mick,” and “Possibly Mick’s body has been found.” One more jumped in with: “Shirley Carter funeral looms,” as another chimed in: “Shirley? Or they’ve found Mick’s body.”Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
