Notably, the former This Morning host captivated fans by sharing a charming selfie on Instagram, showing him in his car, giving the camera a gentle pout and raising an eyebrow. In the playful caption, he wrote, “Beautiful Hot day today [sun emoji] Enjoying the cool shade in the car [car emoji] What u up to?” One superfan couldn’t help but gush over the post and asked: “Can I marry you? ” in the comments section. The TV pair, who said I do back in 2010, share a 22 year old son, Jack, alongside their much-loved dog, Maggie. The former couple have yet to speak out in their own words about the reasons behind their split, but it’s been rumoured that a clash of locations could be at the heart of it. Eamonn was reportedly keen to return to his roots in Northern Ireland, while Ruth is said she would prefer to stay put in Surrey. Eamonn opened up about their separation on the Monday following the weekend when the news broke. Co-hosting GB News breakfast alongside Isabel Webster, he was still sporting his wedding band when he expressed gratitude.

He told viewers: “Before we move on, I would just like to thank people for their support for Ruth and I over the past few days.
