Privacy Notice Former Death In Paradise star Ralf Little could be set to strut his stuff on Strictly Come Dancing, with bookies giving odds of 4/7 for the actor to join the beloved BBC One dance competition. Ralf could be joining the likes of Martin Roberts, Tommy Fury and Nick Knowles on the show – with the full line-up yet to be confirmed by the BBC. After leaving the sun-soaked Caribbean where he played DI Neville Parker for four years, Ralf is reuniting with his old sidekick Will Mellor from their ‘Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps’ days. Together, they’re set to embark on comical adventures in the upcoming series ‘Will And Ralf Should Know Better’, tackling everything mid-life throws at them. Viewers can look forward to the pair engaging in spiritual quests and brushing up against the realities of ageing, as well as testing their survival skills away from modern comforts on U+Dave, the freshly named channel. A close source dished to The Sun about the duo: “A lot has changed for Will and Ralf since Two Pints – they were 25 and 21 when they met.”, reports the Express. “They’ve got their joint podcast, but it will be nostalgic for ‘Two Pints’ fans to see them on telly.”

In a burst of anticipation, Ralf gushed over the reunion, saying: “I am thrilled to be working with Will again as it’s always so much fun. “This time we get to explore how we should be living in the modern world while educating ourselves, and having a laugh at the same time.” A beloved EastEnders actor is also making a surprising switch to become the new face of Death in Paradise. Leaving fans thrilled, Don Gilet is set to replace Ralf as the lead detective, with the news getting the official stamp an hour ago on the show’s social media, as shared by Ralf himself: “Well, as of an hour ago on the Death in Paradise official social media, the news is out,” he announced.

“I have actually known for a couple of weeks but obviously couldn’t say anything.” Praising his successor, Ralf expressed his full support and well wishes: “The new detective is the wonderful Don Gilet and I just want to say, from me to you Don, I hope you have the most wonderful time. “It’s the most magical experience and I hope you get everything out of it and wish you the best of luck. I’m absolutely sure you’re going to be magnificent.”

Ralf felt it was time to hand over the baton as his own character’s narrative reached a natural conclusion in the tropical crime comedy, revealing this sentiment during a chat with Lorraine Kelly: “But just for the show and for my character Neville it just sort of felt like his story was finished and his journey deserved to be completed. He deserved a happy ending and it just felt right.” Ready to bring a fresh energy to the sandy shores of Saint Marie, Don will debut as Detective Inspector Mervin Wilson in the festive Christmas special before the series returns in 2025 for its all-new escapades on BBC One.Story SavedYou can find this story in  My Bookmarks.Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right.Follow OK!
