The comedy queen and celebrity recently brought little Benji into the world last month and was excited to jump back into the energetic music quiz, which will be turning up the volume again soon on Sky Max. Filling Daisy’s shoes while she juggles motherhood will be brilliant funnywoman Sophie Willan, 36. Sophie will be warming the captain’s throne until Daisy returns for the Christmas Special of the Buzzcocks. Daisy showed some love to her fans on Instagram, thanking them all for their “beautiful messages” following the unplanned early arrival of baby Benji.

Posting a heart-melting photo of her in the hospital with newborn Benji in her arms, Daisy didn’t hold back on her comedic touch: “Update: ignore the dinner plate sized areola… little Benji is doing brilliantly.”, reports the Daily Star. Emotionally touched by the outpouring love, she thanked all her followers saying: “Thank you so much for all your beautiful messages xx.”

Opening up about the unexpected ordeal of having Benji delivered earlier than planned and their stay in neonatal care, Daisy was straightforward: “You came a bit earlier than we expected and gave me the worst post op constipation that I nearly had to phone the Samaritans but my god you are perfect.” The new mum couldn’t help but express her gratitude towards the hospital staff at @deliverysuitegrh for their exceptional care during a challenging time: “I cannot thank [them] enough. The way you looked after us through such a scary time was above and beyond.”

She then introduced her newborn to her followers with a heartfelt message: “You are all superstars. I am so blessed. Welcome to the world little Benji, ya nutter Born 06/06/24.” In an emotional video shared on her Instagram, Daisy is seen being led by a nurse into the neonatal ward. Upon seeing her baby, she breaks down in tears and softly says: “Hi bubba” as she reaches into his incubator to touch him. Benji is Daisy’s first child with her partner Anthony Huggins. She also has two other children, a six year old daughter named Pip and a four year old son Jack from her previous relationship with Will Weston, whom she split from in 2021. Meanwhile, fans of ‘Never Mind the Buzzcocks’ can look forward to another hilarious episode with comedian Greg Davies, 56, returning as the host. Team captains Noel Fielding, 51, and regular panellist Jamali Maddix, 33, are also set to return.
